Kim Seokjin X Black Reader ( Apartment A.U)

Y/N 's day was already starting out all wrong. Everything is dropping from her hands and the fact that she has procrastinated on so many things has her feeling stressed out.  But there always seem to be one person to forget everything that's been going wrong in her life.

Jin , her next door neighbor , and now her friend.

Jin was beautiful to Y/N , inside and out, and she was one of the first people from within the apartment bulding to meet him the first day he moved in. With the way he talked to her and the conversations they've had since meeting, she knew the moment they met that he was going to be involved somehow in her life. She's been living on her own for a while , but with her inability  to keep friends and her habit of not socoializing because of her anxiety , it was nice to know she had someone to confine in sometimes.

Jin wasn't embarrassed about having a friend who's skin color was different from his like her other friends were, Jin didn't run when he found out about some of the mental things she was going through like the others. With every night and evening passed and filled with conversations lasting longer than intended , Y/N was growing in her feelings for the man.

Y/N slams her fridge shut before groaning . She had been procrastinating on going to the store so much that she hadn't realize that she was running out of food until today , leaving nothing but sauces and a pack of chesse left inside. Taking a deep breath,  she tightens the head scarf around her head before snatching that last slice of cheese out the fridge and hurrying it down. Double checking that she has her phone and wallet , she walks out the door just in time to hear another one out in the hallway opening as well. She doesn't even look to the side before locking her door , knowing already who just came out.

" I know you did not just wait for me to open my door so that you could  come out here and mess with me."

" I did no such thing , I just happened to come out when you did."

She laughs before looking up at the tall man standing beside her before watching him throw what looks like a large gym bag onto the floor before putting  his hands in his pockets and smiling teasingly at her. She takes a deep breath before forcing herself to look away from him for a moment. Y/N doesn't know how much longer she can deny the feelings she has developed  for Jin , and she wishes that he didn't choose to wear a black fitted gym shirt and sweat pants today , because it's not helping. She turns around before leaning against the wall and looking him up and down.

" You on your way out or something?"

He laughs before shrugging his shoulders in a careless kind of way.

" Something like that. I haven't been having a good couple of days you know? A lot on my mind." Y/N watches as he rubs a hand through his hair, wishing desperately that it was her hand instead. She never pried Jin to rant and ask him about certain things , knowing that though they have grown close, there were some lines she didn't want to cross , in fear that she would run him away completely like she has everyone else.

" I know what you mean sadly." She gives him a small smile which he returns before leaning against the wall beside her. She knows she should be gone and on her way to take care of the stuff that she has to take care of , but she likes his company too much to leave on her own and just talk to him another time.

" Y/N."

She turns her head quickly at the way he says her name to look at him. He's looking at her so intensly , in a way that he hasn't before , and it is taking every bit of strength inside of her not to look away from his stare.

" Yeah Jin?"

" I just wanted to thank you." She watches closely as he moves to stand in front of her , her back still against the wall as she stares up at him. He has a sad look now on his face and the change in the atmosphere worrries Y/N the more she observes him.
