Marissa
Here's the thing, I've never actually thought about my future. Like what I'm doing after high school or what career I want. Mostly because nothing interests me and I don't know what I could even go to college for. But today, I'm thinking about my future. I'm thinking about physics class ending.
It's two minutes into class and I already want to leave. Mr. Uetz is actually the most boring teacher I have ever had. He's a short, old man who hates us all. So all he did today was take attendance and give us a worksheet. But because I suck at physics, I need major help.
"Hey Jared, can you help me with this?" Jared is smart, well smart for our school anyway. He's one of the many football players at our school and we had grown close in middle school.
Jared turns around. "Sure. What do you need help with?"
"Um everything."
"Okay well fir-"
"As much as I don't want to talk to you guys, I have to tell you guys something," says Mr. Uetz.
"If it's about the fire alarm being pulled last week, I swear it wasn't me," says Tommy from across the room. Dallen, who was sitting next to Tommy, gave him a high five.
"Mr. Green no it is not about that. Even though we all know that was you. Starting tomorrow we will be having a new student in this class. His name is Michael Dean. I want all of you to act like you aren't savages and at least try to be welcoming."
"Aye that's my boy Mikey," says Jared. Mikey. Shit I almost forgot he was coming here. When I saw him at the mall, I decided I might as well try to steal him from Autumn.
"You know Mikey?"
"Yeah me and him go way back. We go to football camp together. How do you know Mikey?"
"I don't really. I mean we talked like twice. That's about it."
"He's a cool guy. Autumn is disgusting though."
I laugh. "I know! She's such a mess!"
"I guess it's my fault they started dating. I'm the one who introduced them at a party once, but I didn't think they would start dating. I told him to just stop seeing her, she is obviously cheating on him. But he just won't listen," says Jared.
I was close enough to Jared that I could tell him some of what I was thinking.
"So how about I help you break them up?"
"Help me? It's not like I care that much about it. I was just warning him. But it sounds like I'd be helping you," he says with a smirk.
"Okay, I admit it. I kind of just want him to myself."
"That's what I thought."
"But I don't really have a plan," I say.
"You're lucky I do," he says.
"You do?"
"Yeah. I have a plan for everything."
"Okay. I'll go through with your plan then."
"Wait, I'm only helping you on one condition."
I groaned. I am so not sleeping with him.
"You have to join my band."
"You're band? You have a band?"
"Yes I have a band. I'm the drummer, Drew is the bassist, Taniko is the second bassist and David is the guitarist. I remember the talent show in seventh grade. You have a great voice."
