Dallen

I knew it. I knew it was her. As soon as our lips touched I knew it couldn't be anyone else.

So when I take off my blindfold, I'm not surprised to see Marissa's face right in front of mine.

She's shocked. I can tell. She doesn't say anything but she starts looking around to room, obviously trying to find Mikey. Who just so happens to be right in front of Arden.

She hits the floor the palm of her hands. "Fuck Bradley and his stupid ass games," she whispers angrily and walks out the room.

I'm not surprised about this. We're drawn to each other. Whether she wants to admit it or not. I know it and she knows it. But she won't say anything. Because she's Marissa and she wants Mikey and she has him, so why fuck it up? And I'm dating her best friend and Marissa is a bitch but she would never fuck with someone who has always been there for her, she's isn't like that.

The party resumes with loud music and everyone back on there feet.

Arden walks over to me. She's all happy and giddy, just like she always is. I'm not a big fan of her bleach blonde hair, but maybe I just have to get used to it.

"Who'd you kiss?" she asks.

"Um, I don't know. She ran away before I even took my blindfold off," I lie.

"Oh. Do you want me to get you a drink?" she asks.

"Sure," I say just to get her away from me.

As soon as she walks away, Mitchell and Clark walk towards me.

"Well that was an interesting game," Clark says.

"Who'd you kiss?" Mitchell asks.

"Marissa."

"Not surprising," Clark says. See? I'm not the only one who thinks so.

"What about you guys?"

"I kissed Yesenia. Which I'm happy about because she would have my balls if I kissed someone else," Mitchell says.

"I kissed Jenna," Clark says.

I give him a look and Mitchell starts laughing.

"Dude, just ask her to homecoming already."

"I want to. But I can't. She obviously has a thing with Foster," Clark says.

"You've kissed this girl twice already. The universe is obviously telling you something."

"What if she says no?"

"What if she says yes?"

Clark shakes his head. "I don't know, maybe I should just play it safe and go with Savannah or Laren."

Mitchell puts his drink down. "No, I'm not letting you do that."

"Why?"

"Because you don't want to go with either of them. You want to go with Jenna. For once since middle school, you actually like someone else other than Savannah. I get it, Savannah's hot. But she's dumber than me and we all know I'm pretty dumb. Also, she's an open book. You already know everything there is to know about her. But not Jenna. Jenna is closed off, let's face it I didn't even know she existed until like a month ago. And all that shit with her mom? Dude that's some crazy shit. So, I'm going to force you to ask Jenna."

Clark sighs. "Whatever man."

"In fact, I'm going to help you right now."
