As Penelope got ready to meet Colin she rethought her recent decisions. She was way to eager to forgive Colin. Then again, in her heart she knew she hadn't truly forgiven him for his words last season. She has to keep reminding herself that she is just using him to help her find a husband and she can finally put this whole headache that's name was Colin Bridgerton away after her future marriage vows.

"Miss Feathrington, may I come in?" Varley knocks. 

"Of course, come in." Penelope responds.

"Do I have anything to do today?" Penelope asked.

"Not to my knowledge, your mama and Prudence are waiting in the drawing room. Would you like help this morning my missus?" Varley said while gathering some of her dirty clothing for wash. 

"No I am okay, thank you. Would you please tell mama and Prudence not to wait for me this morning. I will be out running errands and promenading with Miss Eloise Bridgerton today."

"Of course miss" Varley responds, closing Penelope's door on her way out. 

A sudden feeling of rebellion sprouted in Penelope. She felt bad but somehow in a good way. She's never experienced this sensation before. Even with writing Whistledown she has never felt this much excitement and fear all the same moment. She would either feel extremely good about her articles or extremely bad. There was never this in between she is feeling now. 

Afternoon time, The abandoned shed

Penelope decided to wear a light blue dress today. It had white lace on the trim and she believed it matched her complexion very nicely. This and her green dress are the only "boring" colored dresses her mama let her spent her pen money on. Since her mama didn't care what she wore to go see a friend she let Penelope wear it out today. 

She awaited Colins arrival. Thinking about last night and this early morning. Her walk home this morning was full of her face reddening over and over again thinking of her and Colin's waking positions. 

She heard a light knock at the door. She goes and opens to find Colin waiting with the biggest grin on his face.

"You ready?" Colin asks

"Why else would I be here?" She says with her eyebrows raised.

Colin laughs and takes her hand. "Let's get going, my carriage is awaiting."

Miss Potts Ices and Sweets shop

"What are we doing here?" she asks Colin

"I'm hungry" he says smiling at her.

Penelope laughs.

"We're actually here because I've noticed how uncomfortable you get eating in front of future suitors. I'll change that." Colin says seriously.

"My mama told me that eating in front of possible suitors is ill-mannered. They will become disgusted with you." 

"No offense Penelope, your mama is almost always wrong about these things."

She scoffs. 

They enter and Colin orders a banana custard with whipped creamer on the top and cherry toppings. Penelope judges his order. How does this man stomach such a gross combination, she thinks to herself. 

"Your turn" He whispers in her ear. 

She reddens a bit and then whispers in response that her mama has never taken her here. She used to going to the sweet shops in lower class London.
