[Romantic] Stratosfear x Anshine

Also consider this my first Christmas themed oneshot too, not even 13 year old me had done that before, eh?

(Please imagine them in a matching starry cloak, sorta needed detail)
(14 year old me would be shocked knowing I wrote this with bold confidence without insecurities about people judging him for writing a Stratoshine thing because of my old infamous fanfic- oops cutting this a/n short, go read now)

The snow blanketed over the sanctuary, some angels settled in their homes, others are outside wearing scarves and coats to keep themselves warm. Stratosfear stood by Anshine at the fountain, staring off at nothing with a longingly sad look in his eye, Anshine seemed to take notice.

"Are you thinking of something from the past again, strat?"

"Huh? Oh it's nothing Anshine"

Anshine is unconvinced, causing Stratosfear to sigh.

"Sometimes, I don't understand the purpose of holidays, I don't like them, not even Christmas, I have little memories to hold onto that was good about them. I was just reminiscing"

"Can you tell me why you don't like it?"

"Not here, I don't feel comfortable sharing in front of the angels"

"Alright, how about we go back to the estate?"

"That would be fine"

Anshine looked around and spotted Rain.

"Rain, come here"

"Yes Anshine, do you need anything?" They say while approaching him.

"If something happens while I'm not here, take over for me, I have matters to discuss with Stratosfear"

"Okay, I'll make sure the sanctuary doesn't collapse or something"

Anshine chuckled at the response and nodded, leading Stratosfear to the estate. Upon entering, they sat by the couch near the fireplace, it was lit up keeping the place warm.

"So?"

"I only really had bad memories with it, not to mention most grief in my life began during the holidays, though I appreciate the Christmas days where you once had made sure that I was alright, even giving me a present no matter how small and simple"

"I may not remember that, but I can say it's because you were my friend, a closest one according to your previous stories of me"

"You've always warmed the coldness of grief in my heart, melting it away for just a little while, making me appreciate those times"

"Hm, well Christmas is approaching soon, isn't it?"

"It is, but I don't really anticipate it"

"Not if I change that for you"

"As always?"

"Always. Now, would you like to go somewhere with me today?"

"woah woah is this a date?"

"Maybe it is, maybe it isn't"

"Where are we going then?"

"That's a surprise, I can't tell you"

Excitement flashed in Stratosfear's eye, feeling better from his earlier state.

"Then, what are we waiting for? Let's go!"

Anshine's symbol flickered and the two went outside, he quickly informed Rain of them leaving and they nodded in understanding. He opens a portal and lets Stratosfear go in first before following after, they found themselves in a snowy clearing.
