Voixer sat in the silence of their pocket dimension, humming quietly as he stared off at nothing. Footsteps were heard as they turned their gaze to see Verfection.
"Voixer..." His voice is quiet and hoarse, eyes barely open yet full of fear.
Voixer sighed, looking at him with a calm expression. "Can't sleep again?"
Verfection nods and walks over to them, sitting closely with them. He rests his head on Voixer's shoulder, wrapping them in an embrace.
Voixer lifted their hand to pat Verfection on the head. "It's okay, it'll be fine..."
Verfection holds them tightly, Voixer would slowly move him to lay on his lap. Giving him a kiss on the forehead and hummed a quiet tune once more.
He would gaze at the void point. "Voixer."
They stop humming. "Yes?" Verfection gently takes one of Voixer's hands into his own, holding it firmly.
"Will you promise me to never leave my side again?"
They tilt their head, symbol flickering. "Is that what your nightmares are about?"
"Partially..."
"Hm, then don't worry about that, I'll always be here for you whenever you need me."
Verfection smiles at them. "Thank you Voixer, you're really special to me..."
"I know. I'm your everything even though I'm really just nothing."
"You're the point of nothing, but at the same time you're the point of everything... Being a piece of a God-like entity after all..."
Voixer tilted their head. "... I didn't think of it like that."
"You are quite literally the world to me."
"Oh hush, you're supposed to get rest. Just know that even the world itself turns behind your back or the nightmares seem to haunt you... I'll always be there to protect you because I love you."
He snorted. "You're kind of cheesy."
"You're also corny."
"Oh whatever, as long as I make you smile with it."
Voixer leans in to give Verfection a kiss on the forehead, nudging their head against his and continuing to hum quietly once more.
"... Goodnight Voixer."
"Goodnight, my love. May the stars give you the sweetest of dreams. Or dream about something nice about me, instead of a nightmare."
"I guess? But I can't choose what I dream anyway." He says, slowly drifting off to sleep. Voixer's symbol flickered as they watched him sleep, patting him on the head before humming again. Verfection had a smile on his face as he slept, having no nightmares for once.
