This was absolutely ridiculous. First they dragged her infront of the High Lord to hear whatever punishment she'll get for doing absolutely nothing. And now she stood in one of the most luxurious rooms she had ever seen. Was this their kind of cells? Cause if it was she would gladly murder some innocent bystander for it.
Big windows covered one of the walls completely. Showing her a whole city she didn't even know existed beyond it. Small lights covered up the whole place, cafes still buzzing with people and candles still lit behind some of the houses.
Blue frowns as she sits down onto the king sized bed. That was another thing, the room was beautiful. The bed could easily accommodate 3 to 4 people. Multiple pillows lining up against the headboard and the sheets feeling like true feathers. The bedspread laid out was softer then any fur she had ever worn. And let's not even start about the bath taking in the corner of the room.
It looked almost caved into the walls, a small waterfal running to keep the bath filled up, multiple oils and soaps lining up on a small rock. The water looking like it fell right of the edge and into the valley below. And not to start about the many plants hanging around, or the fae ligths floating through the room.
It was beautiful, so beautiful that it was absolutely disgusting. No one needed that kind of luxery, a simple shower and a bed was enough. A bedroom didn't need more. Even worse, the whole room was bigger then most houses they provided at the camps.
It took her a few moments before Blue gave into the temptation, stripping herself bare from her clothes before sinking down into the already steaming water. A content breath left her lips as she leaned back more and took in the blessful heat.
She took longer then she would have liked scrubbing the dirt from her body and washing her long, hazel brown hair before she felt even a slightly bit clean again. Yet upon opening the closet minutes later to search for proper, clean clothes she could find nothing more but long dresses. "Aren't there any simple pants around here?" She asks to herself, not feeling like wearing a dress at all.
She wanted to be able to run if she needed to. Not to mention how uncomfortable and unpractical dresses were. She remembered wearing them when she was just a kid, being scolded at when she got the dress dirty in the mud once again. She started wearing pants as soon as her mother died.
As if the house heard her a pair of simple pants and a beige coloured shirt appeared on the bed besides her. The house had just gifted her a pair of pants and a shirt. They did, right?Cause she was almost a hundred percent sure those clothes hadn't been there before.
"You're invited to dinner in 5 minutes." A voice called, seeming to pause for a few seonds. "Let's refrase that, you're demanded to dinner in 5 minutes." He calls before footsteps faded away from the door.
It was tempting to stay there. Stay seated on the bed and let them all rot away around the dining table. She clicked her tongue a few times before looking over at the wide windows watching out over the city beneath it. It was a rough call, and she would most likely be caught if she started climbing down right noe.
So, 5 minutes later she did find herself sitting around the dining table, leaning back in her chair as she glared at everyone around her. Amuse settled inside her upon seeing the Shadowsinger staring at his plate, obviously feeling uncomfortable. Her shadows slithered along the table curiously and she didn't try and call them back for even a moment.
"Keep them with you, will ya. I do not necessarily wanna eat between shadows." Mor called as she sat down, raising an eyebrow at her. Blue scoffs, glancing down at her hands as her shadows curled back around her shoulders. "You know, I quite like the way you treat your prisoners, yet I would still very much like to hear why I'm here in the first place."
Food appeared in front of her as the High Lord walked in, sitting down besides his mate as he glowered at her. "Eat." Is all he says as the others startes to attack the many plates of food. Blue audibly scoffed as she looked over the crazy amount of food before her eyes fell back onto Rhysand.
"I'll pass. I might reconsider my choice when one of you idiots decide to tell me what's going on. Cause if this is all just chit chat I would very much like to leave and continue my journey." She hisses, staring at the male in front of her.
Cassian visibly tensed besides her at the way she talked to his High Lord. She smirks upon seeing the tight grip he had on his cutlery, his knuckles white as he glared at the plate in front of him. "Careful general, you'll break the fine piece of silvery like that." She says with a taunting grin.
Cassian moved, slamming his hands on the table, opening his mouth to shoot whatever he had to tell her straight through her chest. "Cassian." Rhysand calls, his eyes holding a warning glimmer before he turned his gaze back onto Blue.
"Well, My men found you looming around the borders of Velaris. And I gotta say, we're not a big fan of people snooping around. Especially if they snoop around the one thing they are not supposed to see. Besides, you were crossing borders without permission. We don't know where you are from and we don't appreciate spies around here." He says sternly.
Blue snorted, moving to sit up straighter. "Okay so let me get this straight." She says slowly, looking over everyone. "You arrested me, because I almost entered property you wanted to be left unseen, right?" She asks, watching as Rhysand nodded. The look Cassian threw towards Azriel not going unnoticed.
"Now, if I'm right, this so called city you must have wanted to keep a secret is the one we look over right now. Sooo.. you brought your prisoner right to the place you wanted to keep her from finding ojt. Now what is there that I do not understand. Cause last time I checked that was a fairly stupid move." She says simply.
"Careful how you speak to the High Lord." Azriel hisses angrily, his shadows thickening as they ran down his arms. A snort left the girl's lips as she looked over at him, nodding. "Ofcourse, daddy." She says with a huff. Feyre cleared her throat, placing a hand over Azriel's as the shadowsinger tensed up once again. "Yes, it is fairly stupid as you like to call it. But there were some- problems we stumbled upon which made the situation quite different. We have to figure out what to do with you. And in the mean time we wanna accommodate you as best as we can." She says softly, a warm smile covering her lips.
Blue was about to shot another comment her way when more footsteps rang through the hall. "You're late." Rhysand calls, his voice stern as they watched the boy entering sit down on the empty seat. "Yeah well, I wasn't exactly looking forward to hearing you scold someone named Blue." The boy points out.
"Nyx, behave." Feyre says, throwing her son a warning glance even though Cassian was already shooting him a wide grin.
Now this sure could be a whole lot more interesting, cause if she had to be completely honest, she was done with all the bussiness talk around here. And having someone to taunt was way and way more fun. "Care to tell me why my name sounds so ridiculous to you, bat boy."
Still working my way to the plot of this story, but slowly getting there. Let me know what you think and I'll upload as soon as I can!
