Mick POV:

"No, I'm not jealous, but if you mess this shit up then I'll-" I interrupted her.

"Then what?! You're going to hit me again?!"

Her eyes widened. She took a step back and froze. Loud silence filled the room. I noticed that her hands were shaking. So did mine. I thought of maybe saying something but she said it first. And she made it clear.

"Get out."

I did. I left her room and closed the door behind me. Leaning against the door I overheard someone talking in the distance. It sounded like two people. I took a deep breath and made my way to my room and wanted to open the door as I heard what the voices said.

"I don't know what to do, man. It still haunts me in my dreams."

"Apologize. You pushed her into the pool."

Slowly I walked towards the voices, trying not to be seen. Hülkenberg and Magnussen. I raised one eyebrow.

Nico was stiff and tense. He was nervous and looked around the whole time as if he was watched.

"But how? You saw how she slapped Mick? She's probably gonna do the same thing to me, dude."

"Then do it in public if you're so scared. She can't afford another scandal."

I blinked a few times. Nico was the one to push her into the pool? But she thought it was me, and with our whole history, she lost it. Of course, it doesn't justify her slapping me but I can somehow see why she did it.

"Tell her at the next race. Cameras will be everywhere. She can't do anything."

Oh, yeah right. As if. I don't even know why I'm doing this.

I started walking towards them. "Tell her what?"

They both turned at me, not knowing what to say.

"Mick, what are you doing here?" Kevin gathered himself together first.

"Oh, nothing. Just exploring the Hotel. What are you guys doing? And who were you talking about?" I asked, smiling innocently. Still not knowing why this was so important to me. We just had a fight and I called her out if she's going to hit me again. Why am I here, protecting her then?

"Did you hear anything?" Nico was nervous as shit.

"Hear anything? I'm not sure what you mean. You confessing that you threw Delancy in the pool or you two making a plan how to tell her without getting into danger."

Their gazes hardened.
"Why are you even on her side. She slapped you in the face, man."

Ah, Hülkenberg. Not only old but also annoying. "Why are you not telling the truth?"

If there's one thing I hate, and I don't hate anyone or anything, then it's lying. It's the worst. And no matter who it is, I will call them out. That's what dad taught me. Be honest.

"Listen, Schumacher. One word to your little girlfriend and you-"

"What's going on here?" We all turned around to see who it was.

Seb stood there, with his hands in his pockets furrowing his eyebrows.

"Nothing, we're just talking." Kevin put on a smile and looked at Seb who didn't believe him one word.

"I'm not stupid, Magnussen. And you know that. Hülkenberg, you're going to tell the truth to DeVille. And Mick, you're coming with me." And what he said was done.

Magnussen went back to his room, Hülkenberg walked past us towards Delancy's room and Seb and I went to our room.

As the door closed he started talking.
