Azrael pov:

"It's really not funny." I groaned, pulling myself from under the sink.

"I like to think it is." Josie laughed as I had gotten gross sink water all over me.

"I should've just called a repair man." Going back under I try to fix the problem, only I don't really know how too.

"Maybe, I might be biased though. I like seeing you get dirty." I'm splashed in the face by water as she turns it on from up above.

"Josie!" Moving out from under the sink I'm left soaked and clogged with water in my nose. She laughs and backs up, trying to cover her mouth from the giggles.

"Oh no. You're wet." Smirking, I take off my shirt and toss it at her head. She squeals and throws it away. It was too late, I was already picking her up.

"I said it wasn't funny." Twirling her around I keep her pressed close to make her get soaked from the water as well.

"Put me down, you animal." Slaps my chest playfully as I squeezed more water onto her.

"Apologize." I smiled and brought us back to the sink.

"Absolutely not!" Setting her down I grab the handle and pull the hose from the counter piece. Lifting it up I spray her with it, laughing when she screams and tries to hide behind her hands.

"Apologize!" I yell over her screams. She moved closer and forced the beam of water in all directions.

"Ah! I'm sorry! I'm sorry." She falls into a fit of giggles as the water stops.

"That's better."

I won't say we've been perfect but things have gotten better. I'm still not all for sex and being intimate but I'm enjoying my time with her a little more. As much as I hate or hated Josephine, it's times like this that remind me of the good things we had.

"I'm soaked because of you." She laughed and pushed chest.

"I've heard that one before." I wiggle my brows and set the hose back down.

"Always a true statement. Even now." She wraps her arms around my neck and pulls me in closer.

"I'm sure it is." She hums and pulls me into a kiss, it was slow and methodical compared to the others. It left me feeling very confused when we pulled apart.

"Josie?" I felt nervous again, the hairs on my neck sticking up.

"It's okay. I just… I wanted to do that." She pats my chest and moves back from me, giving me enough space to breathe.

"Slow and steady? You hate that?" I scoffed. Wringing out my tank top from the water.

"I do, but… it's probably what you need right now. Not some crazy chick trying to constantly sleep with you or give you shit for no reason." She squeezed at least a gallon of water out of her hair alone.

"Wow… I don't know what to say." Leaning against a counter she reaches forward and takes my hand into hers.

"I really do want to change Az. I wasn't lying when I said I tried. Can we start again?" For a brief moment I forgot about everything, the feeling of being a teenager again came crashing down.

It was just like back then, the shine in her eyes, the hope in mine, the anxious feeling that we both carried. It was nostalgic. Looking down at our hands I could see the silver ring laying on my ring finger, a promise to marry her.
