(Allison's Perspective)
I expected the fight to have blown over by the time I woke up and went back downstairs, but it was obvious Lucas and Violet didn't forgive me.
They kept giving me the evil-eye every time I passed them.
"If you've got a problem with it, fight me." I said to them with an intimidating tone in my voice.
"Oh, wait, you already tried that." I then said with a shrug before going to the kitchen.
"You suck, Allison." Violet told me.
"Is that the best you've got?" I asked.
"My throat hurts from yelling at you earlier." Violet admitted.
"Serves you right." I replied.
"Shut up, Allison." Lucas spoke up.
I only shrugged in response.
Then I opened the freezer and took out the box of frozen pretzels.
I took one out of the box and microwaved it before putting it on a plate and returning back upstairs to my room.
I closed my bedroom door, and locked it, just because I was paranoid.
Then I sat on my bed, where school supplies were scattered.
I didn't necessarily have any homework left, other than stuff that wasn't due for, like, another five days, and since I was bored I figured I might as well get it done now.
So I connected my phone to my Bluetooth speaker, and started my playlist while beginning my homework.
Halfway into the first song, there was pounding on my bedroom door. I gasped, startled.
"Turn that shit down!" Violet yelled at me from outside the door.
"No way!" I yelled in response before turning it up. It wasn't even loud; she was just being a brat.
In her opinion, the definition of my music being too loud is if she can hear it at all.
"You heard me, Allison! Turn down the goddamn music!" She demanded.
"Just go in your room and you won't hear it!" I yelled.
She hit the door hard and loud, making me jump.
"Stop that! You'll break the door down!" I shouted.
"That's the plan!" She replied.
My eyes went wide.
I ran to my desk and took the chair from it before barricading my bedroom door shut, genuinely afraid of my sister.
She continued banging on the door but now struggling more because of the chair.
"Oh God..." I muttered, beginning to have a panic attack.
My room was on the second floor and it would be dangerous to jump out the window to escape.
I didn't know what to do.
Even though she's only eight years old, she's tough. And strong. Stronger than an average eight year-old. And she's a fighter. But she doesn't fight for good.
"Allison, open this door, or I swear to God I'll open it myself!!!" Violet shouted at me.
"How?!" I asked.
"WITH THIS!!!" she screamed before stabbing a hole through the door with the largest knife from the kitchen.
I gasped and screamed.
"WHAT THE FUCK, VIOLET?!?!" I screamed in terror, tears streaming down my face.
"TAKE THAT AS A WARNING!!!" She screamed, looking through the hole in the door, her eyes filled with madness.
Then she walked away.
I continued crying.
"Stop crying, you little bitch." Violet said emotionlessly to me.
I was shaking with fear.
What was I supposed to do?! I can't stay away from her forever. I live with her.
And what was I supposed to do about the hole in my door? I'm entitled to my privacy, you know.
I looked around the room, trying to think of what I could possibly do to fix it.
The hole wasn't that big.
I had clear tape that I use for my art.
I took the tape, and I took a black Sharpie.
Then I began taping up the hole in the door. I put about three or four layers of tape before coloring the tape in completely with black Sharpie.
It was good enough, for now.
I texted Andy.Are you home?
He replied only a moment later.
No. I went to the grocery store. Why? Did something happen?
I looked out the window to see that Dad's car was in fact gone, and that Andy had taken it again. So I knew he was telling the truth.
Violet stabbed a hole in my bedroom door with a fucking knife, Andy
He didn't reply for a minute, but then he did.
I'm coming home right now
I sighed with frustration. For some reason I was mad at him for not being here to stop her, even though that was irrational.
I sent back a thumbs-up emoji.🌟🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌟
About half an hour later Andy finally got home.
I heard the front door open and shut.
Andy walked upstairs and knocked on my door.
I shouted, startled.
"Ally, it's just me." He said.
"O-okay..." I replied before standing up and unbarricading the door, then unlocking it and opening it.
"We really need to get Violet to stop." He said.
"Yeah, no shit." I replied.
Andy looked both ways in the hallway to make sure I was the only one listening to him.
"We should talk about this in the attic. I don't want Violet to overhear my plan." He said quietly.
I nodded.
A minute later we were up in his room.
He was sitting in his bed and I was sitting in his office chair.
"We need to, like, baby-proof the house or something." Andy suggested.
I nodded.
"Do you think Noah and Henry are on our side?" I asked.
Andy hesitated.
"I'm honestly not sure." He admitted.
"Okay, well I think we should definitely hide the knives from now on, but where?" I stated.
"I'll hide them somewhere in here." Andy replied.
I nodded in response to show I understood.
Then I began to cry.
"What if she hurts me really bad, Andy?" I sobbed, tears streaming down my face.
Andy rushed to hug me.
I buried my face in his shoulder, wrapping my arms around him.
"I won't let her. I won't let her hurt you again, Ally. I won't. Okay?" He reassured me.
"O-okay..." I sobbed, still unsure.
Not that I thought he was lying; I knew he would do everything he could to protect me. But he wouldn't be near me 24/7 to stop her. He rested his chin on the top of my head.
"Thanks, Andy. I'd never survive this place without you." I said.
"Of course, sis. And when I'm old enough to move out I'll take you with me." He said comfortingly.
I smiled.
"Okay." I replied.
We hugged for a minute longer, talked about how to keep us safe from Violet, and then hung out and watched a TV show.
