Hailee stared straight ahead as her beloved ship that lay in ruins along the shoreline. She frowned as she got closer "it's funny" she muttered to herself or whoever listened, not really caring who heard it. "When your far enough away it almost looks fixable" She expressed as her heart inwardly broke for her beloved ship. but her face portrayed no such emotion, instead it stayed blank, somewhat disgusted at the sight before her.

Henry and Will caught up to her, though they heard all that she said and both could tell she cared deeply for her ruined ship "The daughter of a captain" Henry acknowledged more then asked as he approached her right side, Will on her left. Hailee glanced up at him quickly, briefly acknowledging the height difference between them. Her head teetered perfectly to the side of his shoulder. Her breath hitched as she returned her gaze to her ship, Henry of course did not notice the brief stare of the dark blond beside him. But Will did and he flickered a knowing smirk before also looking at the ship.

"Hailee!" a small voice cried excitedly as Lilah broke out of Elizabeth arm's and straight into Hailee's waiting embrace. Hailee stretched out her non-injured arm and scooped her into a hug whilst crouching to her level "Lilah" She breathed as the girl collided into her side, causing her to wince as inaudibly as she could. She kissed the little brunette's crown gently before releasing her. After standing back up her hand instinctively went to her sheath tied across her waist "Who are you" She directed towards Elizabeth, her fingers ever so slightly grazing the hilt of her dagger.

"Hailee, This is Elizabeth Turner" Lilah said as she subtly grabbed Hailee's hand which hovered over her dagger. "She stayed with me while Henry and Will went to find me" She rasped, her voice still raw from crying and lack of use. Hailee glanced down at her sister's hand which she'd calmly led away from her dagger. Her lips flickering to a smile before dropping to her signature frown she'd used for the Turner men.

"Thank you" Hailee said as she nodded curtly, only to retrieve a scowl from her younger sister. She sighed and relented the 'tough girl' attitude she'd been using "forgive me" She said guilty "As you can tell, we've been through a lot" She said nodding subtly towards her parent's bodies, relieved when Lilah didn't follow her gaze.

Elizabeth's features softened at the 2 girls. as did the 2 Turner men. Henry had originally scowled when Hailee was so rude to his mother. And Will simply frowned. "You didn't know me" Elizabeth brushed it off with a warm, motherly smile towards the two young girls. Hailee sighed shakingly causing Lilah's gaze to shoot up at her sister's sudden change of mood. She looked ready to break in a million pieces. But yet she remained intact. "Mr. and Mrs. Turner, I know it's bold of me to say, forgive me for it, but could we come aboard your ship?" Hailee mustered, her pride faltering for a moment simply for survival. "Only until we reach a town" She hastily replied.

The Turner family smiled softly at her before exchanging quick, confirming glances at each other. "You can stay as long as you wish. Miss?" Will asked as he stuck out his hand to Hailee. "Wade, my name is Hailee Wade" Hailee said as she put a brave smile. Henry smiled softly as he made a mental note of her last name. Only now did he get a good look at her, and he had to admit. The girl was beautiful. She had dark blond hair that was messy and disheveled, but beautiful none the less, chocolate brown eyes. He glanced down at her lips a little longer then he meant to, they were light pink, like a pink rose he'd seen at his mother's other home in Port Royal as a child.

Will cleared his throat, catching his son's glance. "Well Miss Wade, Miss Lilah" He said as he gave the young girl a charming smile "welcome aboard" He said as he began leading the girl's to 'The Freedom'. Hailee placed her hand on the small of Lilah's back as she gently pushed the shy girl "go on, Lilah, I'll be right back" She said as she casted a look at her family's destroyed ship. She looked down to see Lilah's pitifully terrified look "I promise" She said as she kissed her forehead. She then released her sister's hand and headed back to her family ship. "Will she be okay?" Lilah sniffed "Not at first, but with love and patience, we'll do our best to heal her grief" Elizabeth said softly as she crouched down to Lilah's level. Lilah sniffed and followed Elizabeth to the cabin to clean up. Will and Henry stayed back, Will returned to the wheel, with Henry by his side. Though Henry's mind was far from the his own ship, and rather on the shipwreck, and Hailee's form hauling herself back in her family's ship.

Hailee soon came back after a good half hour with a sword strapped opposite side of her dagger on her waist, and a gold necklace with a ring at the end around her neck. She wordlessly came back into the Turner's ship. "ready to cast off Captain Turner" She mustered flatly. barely looking at them to hide her tear stained cheeks.

Night fall had fallen over the calm sea as 'The Freedom' floated along. Will still manned the Wheel, his hand lazily draped over it, his gaze looking ahead of where he was sailing. Elizabeth was back to charting her map. where she'd landmarked the shipwreck for future reference. Lilah had fallen asleep on a pile of rope and burlap bags in the corner, she'd refused to sleep below deck until Hailee came with her, and Hailee insisted on helping above deck.

Hailee was crouched down and retying a not in a rope that had become unknotted when she heard the blood-curdling scream of Lilah. She dropped it and sprinted straight to Lilah in record speed. Will had jumped a foot, Elizabeth had made a aimless line of ink on her map from startling, and Henry dropped a crate on hit foot, which he barely noticed due to Lilah's scream. in an instant Hailee was at Lilah's side as she sobbed uncontrollably in her arms, and all eyes were on the two of them.

"what's wrong?" Henry and Will chorused, while Elizabeth appeared opposite side of Lilah. "Nightmare" Hailee said as calmly as she could, as not to frighten her sister more. "shhh it's alright darlin' it was just a bad dream" Hailee cooed as she stroked Lilah's hair while she laid her head on her chest. "There w-was water, so much water Hailee, a-and the ship was making awful sounds" Lilah sobbed into her sister's green shirt.

"I know darlin' I know" she said gently "A-and momma was screaming, and father was too" She exclaimed pitifully. Hailee let out a calming breath "I know" Hailee breathed, her tone betraying that she too has had those exact nightmares. Hailee shook her head of herself as she focused her thoughts back on comforting Lilah. "How about I sing mother's song?" Hailee said as she gently grasped Lilah's chin to look at her. "yes please" Lilah sniffed.

Hailee took a deep breath and began singing gently

'upon one summer's morning, I carefully did stray, down by the walls of whapping, where I met a sailor gay'

Hailee continued her song, though Lilah had fallen asleep at the first verse. Hailee still continued, almost as a comfort to herself. After she noticed Lilah was asleep she allowed her voice to crack and falter as tears steadily streamed down her cheeks. By the end of it Hailee was out of breath and couldn't look at the family above her, she couldn't face their pity.

Will soon crouched beside her, arms stretched out "Let me take her to my cabin, Me and Henry will sleep below deck, you ladies can have the cabin" He offered while he gently scooped a sleeping Lilah into his arms. Hailee looked into Will's eyes, only seeing sincerity in his words she couldn't fault anything. she flickered a small smile and nodded meekly "Thank you" she rasped, to tired to argue. Will carried Lilah to the cabin while Hailee unsteadily hauled herself up. she tripped over her own feet and began to stumble. Causing Henry to gently grasp her forearms to steady her. she sleepily mumbled a incoherent 'thank you' before throwing them both a look, though tired it was filled with gratitude. both mother and son nodded at her. She then stumbled into where she only could assume was the direction of the cabin. where she gently weaved herself into the bed where Will had put Lilah. Falling asleep almost immediately  though it was littered with nightmares the entire night.
