It's been 4 months since Henry broke the curses of the sea and freed his father from the dutchman. The Turners simply can't stay away from the sea and soon set sail again as a family. But what happens when the small family come across a shipwreck an...
Will climbed down the rope of the battered ship. Henry following him, landing beside him shortly after. Both father and son scanned the island around them. It was a beautiful Island, a small patch of trees, bordered by sand that stretched shallowly to the sea where the ship lay. After casting a long look at the island before them, Henry spoke up "If I was looking for food, I'd start in the forest. If there isn't vegetation there could be meat to hunt" Henry said as he pointed to the forest before them.
Will nodded at Henry, and smiled "Lead the way" He said with a small chuckle, making a hand gesture with a small cheeky grin. Though secretly impressed with his son's logic and reason. Henry returned his father's cheeky grin with an eyeroll, but his own playful smile to match Will's. He then began walking towards the tree line. Both father and son's hand rested gently on their sword handles. while their free hands pushed at the debris to make a mock trail. both trying not to whack the other with swinging branches.
As they trekked deeper into the forest Henry stopped short, causing Will to almost slam into Henry's back. Will's gaze snapped up towards Henry once he regained his slight imbalance 'What is it, son?" he asked alarmed as his eyes danced around, not seeing anything dangerous. "Do you hear that?" Henry said as he put his finger to his lips and listened. Soon, if he payed close attention, he could hear the sound of struggling and a snarling noise. "Impressive" Will chuckled out, though slightly embarrassed that the former captain of The Dutchman hadn't heard anything. Henry sensed his father's embarrassment and patted him on the shoulder "c'mon old man" He said as he struggled to keep a straight face. Only for Will to smack his shoulder and jog after his son towards the sound.
Hailee groaned as she landed hard on the ground "that's going to leave a bruise" She deadpanned as she rolled on her side to see her adversaries gaining up on her. a large pack of about 8 wolves began to surround her and she could see 2 more, whom she assumed were the alpha pair, joining the group. "seriously!" She exclaimed "How many wolves are on this bloody island!" She growled, almost sounding feral herself.
Meanwhile, Henry and Will had caught up to her and hid behind some bushes. They'd only managed to catch up to hear her say "bloody island" which caused Henry to snicker and Will to smirk amused at the girl's pirate-y curse. There smiles were soon wiped off their faces as a wolf lunged forward and clasped onto her arm, causing her to scream. Henry was about to rush in and save the day when Will grabbed his arm "Not yet" he whispered/yelled, nodding towards 2 slightly smaller wolves who were getting suspicious of Henry and Will's scent.
"Bloody Mongrel" Hailee yelled angrily, but her voice also betrayed pain as her eyes began to water. she squeezed them shut and tried to yank her arm away out of instinct, only to have the beast clamp harder. earning a strained whimper from Hailee. After a few seconds, which felt like a lifetime, Hailee became vaguely aware of an object in her right hand. There she tightly grasped a dagger.
