Hailee leaned on the side of the ship, a mug of coffee in her hand as lazily sipped it occasionally. Mostly she couldn't even sip it because she was humoring Lilah so she'd give the Turners a break from her constant chatter. Even though the family didn't mind. Hailee looked at Henry as she saw him lift a crate out of the way and walk around the ship, tidying up. 'oof' Hailee said as her coffee spilled out the side of the ship

"Lilah!" She exasperated, mostly annoyed she'd been so distracted with watching Henry. "Your just mad because you can't watch Henry be muscle man" Lilah sing-song in a teasing voice. Hailee blushed a crimson red, especially since Lilah had all but announced it to the entire sea. "Be louder Lil, I'm not sure Poseidon heard you from his tomb" Hailee grumbled, causing the family to chuckle. Hailee looked at them all and blushed darker, not realizing they'd heard.

Lilah grinned like a sneaky chestier cat and began skipping around the ship "Hailee got a crush, Hailee got a crush" She said in a sing-song tone. "You better run you little whelp!" Hailee said as she tossed Will her empty mug and ran after Lilah who squealed in delight. Causing the Turner family to laugh. "Got ya!" Hailee said as she wrapped around her small frame and lifted her with ease, spinning her around for good measure.

"Land Ho!" Will yelled out loud, a grin still on her face at the sister's antics. Hailee placed Lilah on the ground as both looked "Where are we going Mr. Turner?" Lilah chirped as she bounced at his side. He chuckled "we're going to see my father" He said as he made room for her Infront of him, she grinned and held on the wheel with him. "Hailee! I'm steering the ship!" She squealed.

"That's very good, darlin" She called out with a chuckle, before leaning to whisper to Henry "i think it'd be safer if we jumped overboard". He grinned down at her with a chuckle "I think you might be right" She laughed and bumped her hip against his before turning to face the land they're approaching. "So, your grandfather, eh?" She asked as she leaned calmly over the railing. "Bootstrap Bill?" She questioned curiously.

"Yes, you know him?" He asked confused as he mimicked her actions. "Know of him, not him personally" She said with a faint smile "Almost every pirate knows of him, all good things" She assured him. Henry nodded and smiled faintly "He'll like you" He said, the faintest of blushes tingling his ears. Hailee hummed "I hope so" She said softly, though unsure of herself. At the look Henry gave her she knew she needed to explain herself.

"Most men don't like female pirates" She stated the obvious "the whole bloody farse of 'women on ships is bad luck'" She said with an eyeroll "Luck is what you make it, most of it's psychological" She said firmly. He chuckled "well, grandfather isn't like that" Henry said with a reassuring smile "we'll find out" She said with a slight hopeful smile.

Soon the Turners and the Wade sisters casted anchor and climbed down their ship to see Bill waiting for them at the docks. "Father" Will said happily as he clasped his father in a manly hug. "Son" Bill rasped happily as he returned it. "Elizabeth" Bill smiled affectionately as he kissed his daughter in law's cheek. "Hello father" Elizabeth cooed as she returned the favor. "Henry, look how you've grown, son" He said proudly as he gave him a hug "Hello grandfather" Henry said with a grin.

Hailee helped Lilah down the ship and chuckled as she beelined straight to Bootstrap. "Hi There!" She chirped perkily "I'm Lilah Wade" She said as she bounced up and down happily. Bill, though confused could never ignore a little child "Well hello there Lilah Wade, I'm Bootstrap Bill, but call me Bill" He rasped friendly. Lilah giggled a girly little giggle.

Hailee hung back, an affectionate smile on her face at her sister's open friendliness. Hailee was always more of a loner, she preferred to bury her nose in a book, or practice her dagger throwing when she was on land. Sometimes even practicing with a sword if she had a companion. She crept to Henry's side slowly, throwing him a nervous smile. He leaned in to whisper "He's not going to bite, Hailee" He said with a chuckle. Hailee looked at him and rolled her eyes "oh shush" She whispered back, though a smile flickered on her lips.

Bill having noticed the new companion, and the exchange between his grandson. He looked to Will and Elizabeth for confirmation on his assumptions, who nodded enthusiastically, Bill threw a small knowing smile before clearing his throat, breaking the two from their trance. "Miss?" He rasped curiously.

"Hailee Wade, sir" She introduced as she stuck out her hand. "Wade, where have I heard that name?" He rasped deep in thought. Hailee arched an eyebrow "Who are your parents" He asked curiously. "Jonas and Marie Wade" Hailee answered confidently "Jonas- My father, was a drunkard before he met my mother, she definitely sobered him up..to say the least" She said with a soft chuckle "Many men were afraid, feisty she was" Hailee said with a an affectionate smile.

Bill nodded and snapped his fingers in recognition. "Jonas Wade! I believe we shared a few drinks together, until he suddenly disappeared, now I know why" Bill rasped with a chuckle. Hailee smiled softly. "Where is the lad?" He asked hopefully as he scanned 'The Freedom' before returning it to Hailee.

Hailee paled and hung her head "my parents are dead, Mr. Turner" She said coldly, before throwing on a brave face "I'll explain my tale of woe later" She said softly, flickering her gaze to Lilah "she's heard of it to last her a lifetime" She said solemnly. Bill nodded in understanding, immediately admiring the blonde's bravery.

The Turners arrived at Bill's small but cozy cottage. Lilah bounded inside happily as she skipped around "forgive my sister, she's been cooped up in a ship her whole life" Hailee said as she watched her sister and placed down her worn bag. Bill chuckled "no need to apologize" He rasped sincerially. Pretty soon the Turner family were all laughing as they lounged around. Hailee hung back while Lilah made herself home on a grinning Bill's knee. Hailee smiled softly as she sat by the window and hummed softly to herself while looking out at the stars. Not wanting to intrude on the reunion.

Henry listened to Hailee's humming with a small look of admiration. "That's a newer one" He acknowledged. Wanting to draw her in. She turned to face him and smiled "it's just something I made up" She waved off  "it's beautiful" Elizabeth said with a toothy smile. Hailee blushed softly "Thank you Elizabeth" She said with a shy smile. Lilah yawned and fell back on Bill's lap "you should be honored, she hasn't done that to anyone but father" Hailee acknowledged with no bitterness, only a faint yet solemn smile "Aye, I am" Bill rasped with a smile.

"here, let me" Hailee said as she got up and gently scooped up a sleeping Lilah with ease. "I'll be right back" She whispered as she carried Lilah up the stairs, a small grunt at how big she'd gotten since she was two. While Hailee was changing a sleeping Lilah and getting her ready, the Turner's chatted down stairs.

Bill cleared his throat "Nice girl" He rasped with an approving smile. Will nodded and Elizabeth gently gazed upstairs "She's a very brave girl, she's been through terrible things, yet she always puts her sister before herself" She spoke warmly. Henry's gaze never left the stairs as he spoke "Yes, She's definitely special" Henry spoke softly as he looked longingly up the stairs, unknowing to his family's knowing smiles. Soon the Turner family found themselves listening to Hailee's gentle, muffled singing while they too felt their eyelids grow droopy at the girl's gentle, motherly singing, falling into a peaceful sleep.
