You sat on a log at a bonfire and watched Gally and the new Greenie fight. Minho was on the other side, talking and laughing with his friends. Minho asked you out a few days ago and you were so happy, of course you said yes. But, it just didn't feel like you two were dating.
It didn't even feel like you guys were friends. It felt like you were strangers.
Newt came over and sat with you. Newt was basically your best friend.
"Hey Sarah. Why the long face?" he looked at you confused. You shrugged and looked over at Minho. Minho was now looking at you and Newt, jealousy growing inside him. Newt followed your gaze and made a 'o' shape with his mouth.
"Oh I get it. Maybe you should talk to him about it" he said and patted your back. You smiled and nodded and took your eyes off Minho. You and Newt started to chat up a conversation, and soon it was time to go to sleep. You said bye to Newt and started walking to the Homestead. A grab on your arm made you turn around and look into the eyes of an angry Minho.
"Getting close to Newt huh? You're mine Sarah." Minho growled. You whimpered and jerked your arm from him.
"Well Minho, I would like to be yours if you acted like it. You're always with your friends or being "too busy" in your free time. You never even talk to me anymore. It's like we're strangers, Minho. I don't even know why I said yes to you in the first place!" You fought back. Minho opened his mouth to talk back when realization hit him.
He knew he had to run everyday, but he had some free time. And he always spent the free time sleeping or talking to his friends. He never sat with you or talked to you.
"S-Sarah. I am so sorry. I never realized it." Sorrow showed in his eyes, but you weren't gonna let him by that easy.
"I'm not letting you off the hook that easily. Newt's always been there when you wasn't. He's a better friend than you are a boyfriend." You crossed your arms. Minho got on his knees and grabbed your hands.
"I'm sorry Sarah. I'll treat you better. Just please, give me a second chance. It's only been a few days. Please" Minho begged. He really didn't want to lose you. You gave in and uncrossed your arms.
"One more chance and that's it" He jumped up and pulled you into a hug, then kissed your nose.
"I love you Sarah. I really do" That was the first time Minho's said 'I love you'.
"I love you too Minho"
