Weathervane Date :)

Today we go to Jericho for a work activity thing.

Each student gets assigned to a place that matches who they are.

I twirl around a healing crystal necklace as I read mine.

"Weathervane" I say.

"I got Pilgram world" says Enid.

"Some antique place" says my cousin.

"Oh it's creepy. You will love it" says Enid giggling.

I sigh as we get on the bus.

Xavier motions me to sit next to him.

"Oh my gosh hey Xavier "

"Jeez your excited. What place did you get? "

"Well with my hyper ass energy that is only cause of coffee is a majorrrrr hint what do you think?"

"Weathervane? Same. Hey um since we get along well... I was thinking that we could consider this a date? "

I smile and nod.

"This isn't that bad" I say as we sit after our first break.

"I think the jokes you keep making and your company here makes it better"

"I know right. It's also so pretty in here!"

"Not as pretty as you" he says smiling and winking.

"Oh that was fucking smooth Xavier"

We laugh for a bit and I start doodling on a napkin.

I draw a cute little ghost and Xavier watches.

"Didn't know you could draw. I should show you my paint shed that Weems lets me use"

"You have a paint shed!? "

My face lights up and he smiles.

"That's another date for another time"

"Woah you just asked me on another date right now? "

"Yup"

"Knowing I'd say yuh? "

"Pretty much"

I giggle and doodle some more until Tyler says our break is up.

We are behind the counter sorting stuff and Tyler leaves to go to the back room.

"Something doesn't sit right about him" I say.

"Yea he took a weird liking to your cousin. And that really was never his type. He used to bully me"

"No way"

"Yea"

"But your better looking than him! Smarter! And you got talent"

"Ah I love free compliments"

"I bet you do-"

My cousin walks in and I smile.

"Hey girly! What's up? " I ask.

"Been working at Pilgram world all day. Where can I find dynamite"

Me and Xavier look at each other.

"I love it when a relative third wheels to ask for explosives" I say.

He laughs and Wednesday looks confused for a second.

"Wait are you guys like dating or just going on dates? " she asks.

"Did I say he's my boyfriend"

"I take slight offense to that" Xavier says pretending to be sad.

I slip her and address and she leaves.

"She's gonna switch to fuel and fire. She won't blow up anything. It's a fancy way of her wanting arson stuff" I say.

Later we are on bleachers and we watch Wednesday play her cello. Suddenly the statue bursts into flames.

Xavier grabs my hand and we run to the bus. We sit down and I giggle a bit cause I notice it was probably my cousin's doing.

Xavier sighs and looks at me

"Hey Y/n. Do you actually want to be my lover? "
