CHAPTER NINE

The next morning, I am having a call with Maggie.

["Hey-- babe! What's wrong? Why do you think something's wrong? Because you look flushed, sweaty and angry. A terrible combination."] Maggie said to me in the call.

I sigh and tell Maggie everything about last night and the way Theo left with the woman.

["Do you think he is with her right now? He is in meetings all day, so probably. I'm sure she is waiting for the perfect occasion to jump his bones."] Maggie said to me.

"I know it sounds silly, but we both know he is a player." I said to Maggie.

["Surely he wouldn't do this to you. Why whisk you away to paradise only to break your heart?"] Maggie asked that hit me in realizing of Theo's actions towards me.

But still, it still bugging me that Theo is a player, he can fuck any woman that he see's moer beautiful than me and can use me only for his pleasure.

"I don't know, Mags. I'm just not feeling too confident about us." I said to Maggie.

["Trust me. You got this. I guess it can't hurt to try..."] Maggie said as she let out a low whistle.

I wore a blue colored stunning dress. Long dress it has space on the middle, the dress doesn't have any sleeves which is just strapless on the top. Folded fabric on the top with a belt. The dress in long that can cover my entire leg. I really like the dress appearance, it really hit me hard.

"I hope Theo will like it as much as I do. Wow..." I said in amazement to the dress I wore.

["Duh, he won't be able to resist ripping it off you. Now get your man!"]  Maggie said and gave me a wink.

At night, I got ready, all dressed up and eager to see Theo, I walk down a dimly lit path to the bar.

"You're a sight for a sore eyes." I hear a voice said.

I snap my head to see a stranger in cling closer from behind me.

"Going my way, beautiful? It's dangerous to be out alone. I'll join you." The man said to me.

He balances from one foot to the other while I feel running his eyes suggestively down to my body.

Ugh. Creep. Why do I always attract the wrong kind of attention? 

I hurry away to the restaurant without responding to him.

In the restaurant, I got in inside, I instantly recognize Theo's massive frame next to Sophie, ad they are talking excitedly.

I knew she would try to steal him when my back was turned. It's too late to turn back now. I need to show him what he is missing.

He keep his back to me, and I finally notice the person he is engaged in a conversation with.

Sophie. That is just great. He is too busy with her even to notice me coming in.

I feel jealousy coiling light in my stomach.

"Hey, baby. Have you changed your mind?" I hear a voice that asked closer to me.

I turn around and find myself face to face with the stranger from earlier.

"Oh, I don't--" I halt my sentence for a second when I notice Theo watching me with a dark frown.

Now he sees me?

The stronger inches closer I lean at him and take a glance to Theo's way as he tilts his head, looking positively annoyed.

You know what? I should give him a taste of his own medicine. I want to show Theo what he is missing. I'll make him jealous.
