My Hot Neighbor (Completed)

CHAPTER TEN

It's been a week since I returned from my vacation. I haven't seen ide nor hair of Theo since being back.

I have been telling Maggie my by-now familiar problem with Theo and she listens empathetically.

"Are you telling me you haven't seen or heard from Theo since you returned from Hawaii?" Maggie asked.

A frown formed in my lips. "No, not even once."

This radio silence hurts more than I'd like to admit. I know we're not official, but I can't stop thinking about him no matter how hard I try.

"Maybe he had enough of me." I said.

"It sounds like he is avoiding you, hun." Maggie said.

"I know. But why would he do that?" I asked out of confusion.

"There is only one way to find out... You're going to have to ask him." Maggie said.

"But how?" I asked to Maggie.

I saw Maggie form her lips into a devilish smirk, she pulls me in close so she can hiss in my ear.

"By sneaking into his garden party. You're going to meet his family whether he likes it or not!" Maggie said to me.

Despite my nerves, my heart still flutters with excitement at the mere thought of seeing Theo again.

After work, I go to Maggie's apartment.

"Thanks for letting me ransack your closet again." I said to Maggie thanking her.

"Anything, hun. Here, try these on." She said.

Whatever Theo's reason for not reaching out is, I want to remind him what he is missing.

I wore a gold long dress. The dress is wrap and the fabric is layered. The fabric on the front is until above my knee length and the fabric on the back can cover my entire leg.

"I'm ready, Maggie. I want to show Theo what he is missing." 

"That's my girl. You show him who's boss. Now come on, time to meet the family." Maggie said to me.

We sneak between the marbled columns to the house entrance and we are immediately greeted by a butler.

"Welcome to the Banks Estate. May I take your coats and bags?" 

I look at the butler quizzically, unsure if he is part of a joke that Theo has  set up for me.

"No, thank you." I said to the butler.

I knew Theo was rich, but a butler?

"Very well. The party is to the rear." The butler said and walks away.

As the butler ways away I turn to Maggie and slap my hand over my mouth.

"Wow." Maggie said in amazement.

"I know. A butler?" 

"Did you see all those fancy cars? They must cost a fortune!" Maggie said.

"And how well dressed everyone is?" I added to Maggie's thought.

"So are you, babe. You fit right in with his family." Maggie said.

"You really think so?" I asked Maggie.

"Of course! Look at your hot dress. Your beau's going to love it." Maggie said answering my question and giving me compliment after.

I throw one more impressed glance around the home before going to the back garden.
