Linda was busy doing her trial run meal for the annual Reagan Sunday dinner on her day off in Frank's kitchen. She stood their chopping carrots for the stew she was making and sipping the cup of coffee she had sitting on the side of the island. Next to her was Nicky, Erin's daughter, stirring the vegetables in the pot.

"How's it coming Nicky?" Linda asked keeping her eyes on her task.

"It looking pretty great Aunt Linda," she answered, "I think I'm started to get the hang of this." As Linda grouped the carrots together to put into the pot, she was interrupted by the sound of Henry, Danny's grandfather's voice.

"Linda!" he called, "Nicky get in here!" Henry had been watching the news and they were reporting on the NYPD. Something in her heart told her that it wasn't going to be good. He never would have called them into the room for anything ordinary. She just hoped that Danny was okay. She put down her knife and the two of them walked out of the kitchen and into the living room. They stood next to Henry as they watched the horror on the screen unfold. Linda stood nervously as the read the headline. 'BOMB AT NYPD'. The reporter had been standing in front of the 54 Precinct, Danny's precinct where Erin had also been working on a case with him. Linda turned to see Nicky standing there shaking with tears welling up in her eyes as Henry wrapped a loving arm around her.

"But they're okay right?" Linda said to them, trying to convince herself too that what she was saying was true, "I mean if they were really in trouble, Frank would have called by now or something." Just then she heard the door bell ring and Henry went to go answer it. He opened the door and in walked Baker, and at the sight of her, Linda's heart sank. Nicky let the tears in her eyes fall down her cheeks as her hands flew to her mouth.

"Good afternoon Sir," Baker said to him.

                              "What's going on?" Henry asked.

"The commissioner has requested that I drive his family to the hospital," she said that's when it was Linda's turn to cry.

"What can you tell us?" Henry asked hoping for positive answers.

"Erin is fine, she walked out with only a few scratches," Baker explained, "however, Danny was found buried under some debris and was rushed to hospital. I'm sorry that the news isn't something better." Her apology was more directed towards Linda as she watched Danny's wife cover her mouth and cry hysterically. As Nicky walked over to Baker who guided her to the car, Henry walked over to Linda and comforted her as they walked to the car together. Once everyone was inside, they drove away and in the direction of their loved ones.
