Sadie POV

As soon as Savannah stops crying she rushes over to me. She hugs me before hugging Reign. She lets out some more tears as she hugs Dorian and Makena. I look at her and I can tell she is doing well. She is much bigger than the last time I saw her. Damn I didn't even know she was pregnant. There's no denying it now. But it's not just that, she looks healthier. She seems happier and has that glow about her. I know it's been almost two months since her accident but I guess I expected to see some form of injuries still. I was surprised when she told us she was moving back home but now that I see her I agree I agree it was the right choice for her.

I look at Dorian and how happy he seems to see her again. Makena too. I just shake my head and smile and greet Alex.

"What are you guys doing here?!" Savannah asks once she stops crying.

"It's spring break." Dorian starts.

"So we wanted to come visit." Reign adds.

"Plus we wouldn't miss your baby shower." I tell her enthusiastically.

She turns to look up at Alex and glares at him. It's quite comical.

"I said no baby shower!"

"I told them that. But do you really think our mothers listen to me? Add in Cassie and these two and neither one of us had a chance."

She smiles and shakes her head at him. They walk away to continue their greeting. Reign walks over to Hunter. The feeling of being the last one standing hits me. I look over at Cassie and James. I can't deny the feeling of sadness and jealousy. I knew I had no chance with Cassie the moment I saw her and James together. But with all the time we spent together at the cabin I held on to hope. When I heard they were getting married I wasn't surprised.

"I think this is the quietest I have ever seen you."

I roll my eyes at Dorian's annoying voice. Instead of giving him some smartass remark I look down at Makena. She is playing shy and has a deathgrip on Dorian's pant leg.

"Let's go find some goodies." I smile at Makena as I hold out my hand.

She smiles up at me. This little girl is the cutest little thing ever! Hand in hand we walk over to the kitchen table that's covered with food and treats.

"Not too many sweets, Makena." Dorian demands.

I almost jump at the sound of his voice behind us. I didn't realize he had followed us. Once again I roll my eyes at him. I bend down and whisper in her ear.

"I say you can have as many sweets as you want!"

I don't need to look up at Dorian to know he heard me. I can feel his glare on the back of my head. It's tempting to stick my tongue out at him but I will behave at Savannah's party. We make our plates and go back to find a seat. The limited seats are all taken so I lower myself down to the floor and Makena joins me. Without even looking I know Dorian is close by. It's the first day of the trip and I'm already over his hovering.

After a few baby shower games Savannah opens her gifts. When she is done I realize Makena has fallen asleep on my lap. I stand up with her in my arms.

"I will take her." Dorian commands from beside me.

"I've got her." I roll my eyes. "I will just take her to Savannah's room."

He runs his fingers through his hair and huffs. When I get to her room. Dorian once again surprises me by reaching forward and opening the door. He seems to be in stealth mode lately. I whisper a thank you before putting her to bed, Dorian helping with the covers. I go to leave but stop when I see him staring down at her. There's a look on his face and somehow deep down I feel like I know what's wrong. He is torn between visiting with Savannah and staying, protecting Makena in this strange place.
