Savannah POV
It’s been three days of absolute bliss. Having all of my friends here in one place. However, I’m starting to notice a few of them acting off. I can’t quite put my finger on it but something isn’t right. I will figure it out before I go home tonight. Everyone is hanging out at Hunter and Cassie’s place. Not that Cassie actually lives here. She spends most of her time at James’ apartment. I think she just doesn’t want to leave Hunter paying for the place himself. Not that anyone will admit that though. As I look around I see everyone except Sadie. She is one of the people I need to talk to so I get up to find her. Alex moves to follow me but with one look he sits back against the couch. I find her in the kitchen, staring off into space, as her glass fills up with water.
“Are you ok?”
She jumps and turns off the water.
“What?”
“You just seem out of it. I wanted to make sure you were doing ok.”
I walk up to stand next to her. She turns around and leans against the counter. I hear her release a soft sigh. I knew something was bothering her.
“Can I ask you a question?”
“Of course.” I answer.
“It’s about you and Alex.”
“Ok…”
Her hesitation has me even more curious.
“So you two obviously knew each other for a while before you got together.”
“Yes…” I am starting to question where this is going.
“Once you realized who he was after everything…how did you…”
She drifts off like she doesn’t know how to phrase whatever she is trying to ask.
“How did you see him differently? How did you go from seeing him as a platonic teacher to well more?”
I think about what she is asking or at least what I think she is asking.
“Well there were a lot of things. I mean visually he looked different because I saw the man behind the vest and tie. But also he acted differently, which helped. Once I knew who he was and knew what his hands and lips felt like it changed the way I felt about him and how I saw him.”
I watch as she nods, deep in thought, as I tell her all this.
“Why do you ask?”
"I don't know." She shrugs.
"Is there someone you are…or want to see differently?" I ask.
"Uhh…it's all his damn fault. I was completely taken by surprise but now I can't stop thinking about it and he hasn't said anything and I swear he's acting like it never happened. Which, considering his condition, he may not remember…"
"What are you talking about?" I finally cut off her rambling.
She stops and looks at me.
"Dorian. The other night he kissed me.."
"What?!" I shout and she shushes me.
We both make sure no one comes in the room before continuing.
"He had been drinking. And he kissed me. I don't know why or how it happened. I thought he hated me. He just tolerated me because I'm your friend. He hasn't said or done anything since. So I'm starting to think he doesn't remember."
