Nari's cuddled up with Jimin on the floor surrounded by blankets. Their watching 20th Century Girl. Nari gets up once she sees her mother enter the house. Wasn't she going to stay at her new family's house?
"Eomma what are you doing here?" The boys just continue to watch the tv.
"Why did you have to say that?" Her mother looks genuinely hurt even though it wasn't directed to her.
"Why did I have to say it? Didn't you see the way they were treating me?" She looks at her mother in such a way no daughter should look at their mother.
"How were they treating you? Did they put their hands on you so what's the fuss about?" Her mother throws her bag aside.
"Of course you didn't, you're blinded by love." Nari says the last part in a singing voice.
"What's that supposed to mean?" She look at her daughter confused.
"You're so in love with that man and didn't notice how his son were treating you're daughter." She throws her hand in the air in exaggeration.
The boys pause the movie and stare at the mother and daughter fighting. They want to stop them but they don't want to interfere, it seems private. They've witnessed this a lot, many times they're in the presence of them fighting.
"You know what, I can't stand arguing with you. I'm going to bed." She takes up her bag and leaves to her room.
"What was that about?" Jimin asks.
"The thing that happened with her sons." She throws whatever just happened behind her. "I'm sick and tired of those people already."
Nari plays the movie and continues to watch it. She didn't imagine her new family to be like this, she always wanted to have siblings and what did she get? Four men that hates her, probably will kill her if it comes to the test.
Nari wakes up with the sound of someone's phone ringing. She takes up the phone and realizes that it's Taehyung's, so she answers not thinking too much of it.
"Hello?" She clears her throat.
"Who is this? Where is Taehyung?"
"This is his friend, his still sleeping."
"Then why did you pick up his phone? Wake him up."
"Uh because I have a little sympathy to not wake a sleeping person." She rolls her eye, just hearing this person she knows she doesn't like her.
"I'm his girlfriend, and why should I believe that you're his friend."
"What?" That news didn't reach her. How comes she didn't know about this?
Without listening to the girl she hangs up the phone and puts it back in it's place. He has a girlfriend? How long? How comes he didn't think to tell her this? So all her crushing on him was for nothing? This means she'll never get to be with him.
"Nari?" She flinches hearing his voice.
"We need to get ready for school, we're getting late." She kicks the other two sleeping boys to wake them up.
Nari hurries to the bathroom so she can take a quick shower. She doesn't have time for this, she just wants to go to school so she can be distracted. Does the others know? If they do why didn't they tell her?
"Come on." She leaves the house with the others following behind, because of the fight last night she doesn't even tell her mother good bye.
Upon entering the school she runs into Shinae. The two stare at each other for a brief minute before they break eye contact. It's like everywhere she turns she sees Shinae. Is she still haunting her?
Why does she have so many questions?
She walks away leaving the boys confused on why she's acting off all of a sudden. They're wondering if it's because of what happened between her mother so they're thinking of giving her some space.
Nari's first class is Chemistry so she gets her things for class. She freezes once she enters the class. She sees Shinae at her table, does she want to bully her again?
"What are you doing at my table?" She puts down her books with a lot of force startling the girl.
"I'm your new lab partner." She breaks the news to her.
"What do you mean?" Nari looks at her confused, what happened happen to Dami?
"Dami left to Physics so the teacher assigned me to be your lab partner." Shinae tells.
"You've got to be kidding me." She runs her hand through her wolfcut.
Shinae bites her lips nervously. She promised Taehyung to stay away from Nari but the teacher assigned her to be her partner, she had no choice. She doesn't want to cause anymore trouble.
"I'm not the crybaby Nari anymore, so don't try anything." Nari points a threatening finger at her.
Shinae nod her head like a puppy obeying their owner.
