"Where are you going?" My mother asked, startling me as I struggled putting on my shoe since it's kind of tight.

"Um, i'm going to this after school program."

"At this time of night?" She questioned, raising her eyebrows.

"Yes mom, I got tired of staying in the house all day." I sighed in frustration.

My mom only hums at my response and tries reading my body language. One thing my mom was very good at was reading people.

I had a 'friend' before whose name was Miliana and my mom always told me that she wasn't really my friend. I, of course didn't want to believe my mom but there had become a day where I found out myself that she wasn't really my friend.

There was a screenshot of her literally dogging me & lying to her friends in a snapchat groupchat.

She was saying things like, I stunk bad, I had pissy drawls & an infested house filled with roaches. Ew. The part that got me was when she said I had over 15 bodies knowing not a day in my life I ever did those things.

Mom was right, she wasn't my friend. I wonder what I did to cause her to say those things about me...

"When are you coming back home?"

"What time is it now?" I asked as mom now looks at her watch.

"It's 9:23."

"I believe i'll be back before 11." I tell her, making her nod her head.

"Well, be safe and do you need me or your dad to pick you u-"

"Nope, i'll be alright. I'm fine with walking." I cut her off.

"Alright, give me a call to let me know when you're coming home." I nod my head, now making my way out to the door.
