"Hello?"

"Uh h-hey, can y-you pick her up i-instead? My car doesn't h-have enough gas on it." Suyari told Kevin on the phone.

Suyari had the phone on her shoulder with her head layed on it while feeding Akilah.

"Yea fasho, why yu stutterin shorty?" He chuckled, asking.

Suyari had to come up with a quick lie.

"I-it's quite cold here, that's all." She got out.

"Oh okay, yu wanna maybe come over to ma crib? It's warm ova hea."

"We're coparenti-"

"I kno dat, i'm just choosin to be nice." He cut her off, chuckling.

"Well I-I honestly shouldn't e-even be welcomed over there anymore if we're being honest. I straight up disrespected you i-in your home." She said, sounding all raspy.

"Yea yu right but you ma baby moms, so. Yu welcomed over hea anytime but yo company? Dat shit is 'no go.'"

"I'm s-sorry again. I really am."

"I'm finna come get c'yall, see yu in a min." He sighed and hung up.

After Suyari then got herself and her baby dressed, she left the baby on her bed and of course didn't forget to put soft pallets on the floor, just in case if Akilah were to fall.

She then goes into her bathroom and reaches in her drawer, grabbing a drug needle that she took from someone at school who had a addiction of using it.

They told her 'it makes you feel good and helps vanish your problems away' and she was curious on trying it.

Ever since then, Suyari became addicted to it.

After putting something in the syringe, she wasted no time injecting herself with the needle which made her eyes clench in pain.

She suddenly start feeling a little hazy and powerfully high.

She could honestly say the feeling of it was...different.

"Yu fed her?" Kevin asked, snapping Suyari out of her thoughts.

"Mhm." She nod her head.

"You ate?" He asked.

"N-no, but I-I can last w-without eating."

"Girl get yo hungry ass up innat kitchen, I made shrimp gumbo." Kevin chuckled.

Suyari only nods her head at him, now feeling herself falling asleep.

"Aye don't fall asleep on me, na. Why yu so tired? And why da fucc you got a mask on?"

"C-can you just leave m-me alone?" She asked, rocking her body back and forth while sitting in a applesauce position.

Kevin stayed silent as he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion on why she was acting like that and why she's holding herself like it's cold.

"Yu cold?"

She shook her head as in 'No.'

"Hm. Imma bring yo food to you, aight?"

"K."

He then goes into the kitchen, thinking to himself deeply about Suyari.

'What's wrong wit shorty?' He thought, before taking a sneak peek behind the corner wall of the kitchen to only see Suyari still rocking back and forth on the living room floor and his baby sleep peacefully on the couch.
