Last night was rough, I was hoping to sleep in a bit but woke up to a knock at the door, my parents. They had come over to make sure everything was okay. Dad was a bit worried but more excited to see the surveillance footage and had dragged Mom along. "I have got to see this bird," Dad was bouncing

Mom rolled her eyes and yawned "where are my granddaughters?" Noa came racing out of the bedroom in her fur with a tiny Von stumbling along behind her "aww, that is just the cutest!" She fawned all over them while Dad and I talked about the surveillance video from last night. I pulled Dad into my office off the dining room and started the footage.

"Hot Damn, that thing is huge!" Dad smiled "and the building didn't even flinch..." he was now thinking about my offer.

Like the gifted woman she is mom interrupted his thoughts "we are not moving dear!" She bellowed from the family room. Making Dad and I laugh.

"I'll ask around, see if we can get the same protections on the house that they have here." Dad smiled a thank you and went back to the footage.

Just when it was getting good and Dad and I were starting to talk about the complexities of the huge bird there was another knock at the door. It was the butler "I just wanted to give you the heads up...your sister Taya's downstairs arguing with the front desk about who's more important you or her... as soon as she looses that argument she will be on her way up."

"You're a lifesaver, thank you" I smiled at him as he bounced away. I quickly closed the door and turned to see Noa and Von in kitten form at my feet. "I don't think people thank him enough." I smiled at how adorable the two are sitting by each other like that "Noa your aunt is coming, you and your sister need to be human right now please." She chirped at me then guided her sister back into the bedroom.

"Dad, Mom..." they had disappeared into the kitchen so I headed that way "did sis follow you?" mom smiled sheepishly "I was not eager to introduce her to Von yet Mom," I sighed.

"I know that dear, this wasn't our choice. She just showed up as we were getting out of the car here." Mom took an exasperated breath "it looked like she was going across the street to the park so I didn't say anything. Do you think Von can hold human form the entire time she's here?"

"If Noa helps yeah, I mean Von is a baby, so having Von wrapped up and not letting Sis see her will prevent the majority of slips and prevent a disaster, but..."

Just then the door flung open and Sis walked in with bags and bags of food. "I brought the Christmas dinner, I hope you have my presents wrapped, I'll be taking them with me when I leave."

"How the hell..." I was angry Mom was confused, Dad was annoyed. "Uh, sis how did you get in?"

"Oh I'm family so I have to have my own key." She smiled her bragging smile "Don't worry, the front desk took care of your slip up in not giving me one."

"Hand it over," Dad glared at her.

"Daddy..." she tried to be cute and cocked her head at him.

"Now." Dad took the bags and handed them to Mom then held out his hand to her for the key. Her face went from smile to pout as she handed over a key "this is not your apartment," Dad corrected her "you don't just walk in whenever you want and you do not get a key. I won't tolerate you doing this to your brother understand."

"Yes Daddy," she glared at me as Dad turned and handed me the key. Mom had already gone into the kitchen so she too missed the dirty look. She pushed past me tightening her glare and hurried into the kitchen. I turned and headed into the girls room while I sent a quick emergency text to Pylan. I scooped up Von put on a diaper and got her dressed then headed back out with Noa right on my heals in her favorite dress. When I came into the kitchen Dad was letting Pylan in. We were all just in time to hear sis try to win Mom over with a sweet tone "I'll do this Mom, you go in and enjoy your granddaughter."
