Chapter 8: January, Start of Something Fun

As he promised when I woke up everything was how he had said. I was confused as to if I would tell anyone about him and what he said or not, his words were ringing in my head. I needed advice so I wrote A.

I did something stupid, I went for a run in the park by myself. Yes I was attacked. To sum it up I was pulverized by a Harpy and a coven of witches. Yes I taunted them making the situation worse. When I blacked out from the attitude punishment I went to this place, a guy was there he said it was the in between.
He gave me a message for Pylan, and his Dad. Oh by the way Pylan and I broke up on New Years. He laid eyes on Hadley and was hooked.
I want to be clear that I willingly stepped aside, Pylan did nothing wrong.
I am happy that he and Hadley have found that kind of deep love, so why does it hurt?

Anyway the in between guy had one hell of a story and a message for me to pass on.
I just don't know...Do I admit it and face whatever weird looks and comments I get?
I honestly don't know why I am so worried,
when have I ever cared what people think.
This just feels different somehow.
I will tell them... eventually.

I summoned the butler to deliver the letter. The guy is so excited to be able to wait on me hand and foot and the girls love him. By the time the letter had reached its destination I realized I shouldn't be afraid of my friends and family so as soon as Dad and Pylan showed up I told them I had seen something and was not sure how to talk about it yet. Pylan and Dad both insisted I wait then and sort it out. I did agreed and Pylan hauled me off to an appointment.

Pylan wheeled me into the community clinic for a check up. I had tried to protest but stopped abruptly as I remembered my promise. I really did feel fine, not better but not needing a doctor yet. I didn't want to be there but I promised to not object, so here I was. He left me in the waiting area and headed to the desk that's when I met her.

"Hi, I'm Celia I moved here recently to follow my fashion career." The look on my face must have confused her, she hesitated "I fell off a runway and twisted my ankle and you."

"I taunted a Harpy with a coven of witches as minions and got my ass handed to me." She frowned "in my defense they were sent to kill me so..."

"Oh, that makes it so much worse." She laughed "Why the hell were you taunting them?"

"I still don't know why." She laughed again pulling a smile out of me. "Yes I know that doesn't mean much considering I was unconscious for most of it... "I might be a Muse, what about you?"

"I'm of the shapeshifter type," her smile was dazzling "I'm a Yeti"

"Really, tell me all about you, I have never met a yeti before."

"We are usually laughed at, not one of the more threatening shapeshifters. Just one that has a problem with the don't let them see you concept."

"I'm a father to two werecats." I smiled as she was now impressed "adopted, both kittens still. I can understand that, the innocent little things have a hard time remembering that concept." She brushed her Platinum Blonde hair out of her face and I noticed her eyes. "Beautiful eyes. What color is that?"

"Cornflower Blue, and yes my skin is sparkly white as white as snow with a butt load of glitter dumped into it."

"So you sparkle," I laughed but she frowned "I have a Vampire friend that I taunt about Twilight..." she laughed, I smiled dopily "I like your laugh, did I mention I have a head injury"
