Jihyo’s POV

The meeting room was silent except for the person speaking in front, presenting her designs. There are not a lot of people in the meeting room. There is only my secretary, the heads of every department, and myself.

The Season of Love Runaway is going to happen in less than a year and our company has to prepare a lot which is why we have a meeting today to finalize everything. Or else, we are going to be way behind our fixed schedule and I don't like that, especially since I have planned everything within the deadline I have set and I don’t want it to be ruined.

I might just be a freak for wanting everything to be perfect and run smoothly according to what I was planning.

The designer in front of me was talented. However, I couldn’t help but frown as the designer in front of me showed and explained her designs.

It doesn’t look as distinctive as I wanted. As what Devas should be. 

“Although, the designs look marvelous,” I commented once she finished presenting, “I don’t think we can display these designs for the runaway,”

Her smile faded, “But, Ms. Park, this is the trend nowadays. With these types of designs, it will be able to capture onlookers’ attention,”

I tapped my finger on the desk, “I know what you mean but that is not the same case with Devas. You know that, don’t you, Ms. Lim?”

I was met with her nodding her head. I continued, “I am not disregarding your designs,” I smiled fondly, “They are lovely but it is the same as any other boutique we have here in South Korea and other parts of the world. What makes Devas different is the uniqueness we have in our designs. The designs are very rare in the eyes of others but they are wearable and comfortable to wear. That is Devas,”

I am not trying to be harsh to her because I know she worked extremely hard and sacrificed a lot of her time to design the standardized designs of clothes and dresses. However, I couldn’t be lenient toward her and ignored her mistakes. As the boss, I had to think wisely and the effect it may have on our boutique and sales.

Devas is one of the largest and most famous boutiques in South Korea and parts of Asia. This is due to the rarest designs it had on their clothes which captured everyone’s attention. Devas is a design and boutique company that does not follow any trends or copy other designs and improvises them even more.

No, it is a whole lot more organic.

“I understand, Ms. Park,” Ms. Lim admitted, her eyes showing pure fire, “I forgot what I should have done as a part of Devas. I’ll try my best even more!”

I smiled widely, “Now, that's a good spirit!” I pushed my red locks to the back as I stood up, “I look forward to the other designs. We don’t have much time until the next runaway so be quick yet careful,”

“Understood, Ms. Park!” The whole members in the meeting room agreed out loud in synch.

I gave them one last smile before leaving the meeting room. My heels clicked on the floor and made clicking sounds as I made my way to my office. I checked my watch as I entered the elevator, ignoring the glances I received from the employees but I answered their greetings.

I have one more meeting left.

“Hey, did you see the news released just this morning?” An employee whispered from the back who is a she and even though she tried to lower her voice, I still could hear her due to my sensitive hearing.
