Jin’s POV

“My baby boy’s home!”

My eomma immediately ran towards me slowly when she saw me entering our home. I was not even fully inside the house but I was already embraced in a tight yet very warm hug that I had longed for and yearned for every time. Coming back home and being greeted with a hug full of love has always been my favorite every time. This home is my favorite place to be, and my haven.

I’ll always choose them. My family comes first.

I hugged my eomma back just as tightly as I could to tell her that I missed her too, so much. I crouched my body for a bit to adjust to her height to make her feel comfortable as she hugged me.

I placed my face on her shoulder and muffled, “I’m home, eomma,”

It’s not like I never visit my parents when I have time or we live that far away but even so, it’s always touching my heart whenever we are together because I love my family a lot and I could never imagine what my life would be without them. My family is my comfort with whom I share blood and I will never abandon them. They are people who truly understand me and always stand by my side and trust me with all their hearts.

My family may look very charismatic and stern on television but behind those screens and newspapers, lies a normal family with lots of love to give and share.

My parents are my heroes and my hyung is my role model.

“Welcome home, dear!” Eomma answered lovingly and enthusiastically as she chuckled, “Now, let me look at my baby boy!”

She pulled out of our hug and softly placed her hands on my cheeks as her black eyes which I inherited from her scanned me up from head to toe like I was a toddler who just got back from being injured while playing.

Her face vividly showed her concern, “You look so thin, dear. Aren’t you eating enough for yourself? Have you been skipping eating your meal?”

Eomma, I’m not that thin. I have just been maintaining my health by exercising whenever I can,” I replied, removing her hands from my face gently, “And I have been eating just fine. I never skip my meals because I promised you that,”

She sighed, “Alright, alright. I believe you but this won’t do. I’ll feed you until you cannot eat anymore!”

I shook my head violently, showing her that I completely rejected her idea, “Eomma, I appreciate your concern but my stomach will explode at this rate,”

The memory of her forcing me to eat every inch of the food on the table including a whole bunch of desserts made me nauseous. I don’t want to experience that again.

“Even so y—”

“Now, now, love. Give that boy a break, he just arrived,” A voice so familiar chimed in and I grinned at the savior of the day.

Appa,” I voiced out and walked towards him to give him a short hug, “How is it going?”

“Everything’s well,” Appa shot me his infamous smile.

“Hmm, you always but in!” Eomma scolded as she approached where we were standing. She’s obviously sulking, “And what’s wrong with feeding you with my food? Don’t you miss my cooking anymore?”

“It’s not that, eomma,” I laughed a bit as I put my arm around her shoulders while she crossed her arms. I shared a look with appa, “I truly love and miss your cooking. However, eating it to the last bit might give me indigestion,”
