Chapter 3; Bad News

I'm so excited! We won against Washington 5-1! I got 4 points & a +4! I did very well! I got an assist on Evander Kane's goal that occurred 5 minutes after the game started! We all were super excited!

During our practice, Nik Antropov tried to skate again but failed! I felt bad for him! He... Ahh! I fell and... BROKE MY ARM! AHHH! HELP ME! HELP ME!

I say to Andrew Ladd " What happened?" and he replied " You fell on your arm breaking it and now bye!". I was took out of the arena into a hospital where I fainted.

Over the last week, I just laid there and got medical help! I couldn't leave my bed! I wanted to buy I wasn't allowed!

Every single time they had time, my daughters & my wife visited me. I loved them a lot! They brought me presents each time! They loved me.

After another week and 3 days... Andrew Ladd came to my room! I asked " How was the 11 games?". He said that their record is now " 4-6-7 ". To be honest, I said it wasn't that bad but it was kinda bad! I knew I had to go back but I wasn't allowed! I was sad!

I was hurt! My arm could permanently break if I returned now! I am not supposed to return until January!

After another week, it was my birthday! My wife and kids celebrated and even the whole team of Winnipeg celebrated my 34th birthday!

I couldn't believe I was celebrating it in the hospital! The scariest thing is... Jarome Iginla came and celebrated too! He's a nice guy!

After the big celebration, Coach, Ladd & Kevin Cheveldayoff decided to make me captain when I return! For now...

Then Kane shooed everyone after an hour and talked to me about what the doctors said! I won't return for another 2-8 weeks! Why 2-8?!

Evander Kane looked worried and so did I! I am far behind because of this stupid injury! I'm the captain now and I deserve t... The doctor cuts off my thinking and tells me to relax because it's my "relaxing time". Evander Kane stayed there for the whole day until he left when I became tired! Winnipeg had 2 home games next tomorrow and 2 days after that!
