Chapter 15; Free Agency

Finally came free agency.

I thought about it a lot like when I was sleeping and I think I know what my decision is.

I ran my decision over with my wife and she said " Olli, that's a good team! Plus, we get to experience a different area!"

So, I made my decision to... Go to Montreal!

I'm now on them as number 13.

I'm not any type of captain... For now!

I have a 3 year, 6.45M contract with them. They decided to change it like that!

They told me this in a email after I accepted their contract and let anyone else know " Thanks for giving me the contract! I appreciate your decision to try to get me on your team. But I have decided to go with Montreal. Thank you again!", they said "Well Olli, we have just decided to add 1M to your contract along with 1 more year! I know you want #12 but it's retired so we gave you #13. If you don't want that # then we will change it. For now, your not an assistant captain but after this year or earlier, we might make a couple of changes! Thank you for accepting and we are happy to have you!"

I bet you I'm on the 1st or 2nd line!

Right now, Evander is with me in Montreal because he was traded here along with Grant Clitsome & a 2014 1st round pick for Max Pacorietty, David Desharnais & Josh Gorges so an assistant captain is open! Plus, they added another A to every team so 2 As are open!

The next day, I'm told Michael Ryder got one and PK Subban got the other.

I went on wikipedia and found out Andrew Ladd is captain again, Josh Gorges got an A and so did Burmistrov & Zach Bogosian!

Evander Kane couldn't be #9 so he became #90.

Sadly, I ended up on... the 2nd line
