Kabanata 7: Annoying Brothers

The week went by so quickly at tapos na rin ang semester. We have a two-week break so the one-week vacation I was planning became 10 days. Doon ko na sa Greece uubusin ang bakasyon bago bumalik dito para sa huling semester ko. I am graduating in a month and a half. Finally.

Sa susunod na araw ang flight ko at ngayon ay tapos na rin akong mag-pack. It was already six in the evening and I allotted the whole day to really pack and plan the clothes I'm going to wear. Wala rin kasi akong masyadong damit sa bahay nila mom and dad because I haven't lived there in years.

Napagusapan rin namin nina Paxton at Phyllis na susunod nalang sila dahil may pinagkakaabalahan pa.

I plan to go out alone tonight and probably drink. My friends are both busy so I can't really party with them. Party? Why did I say that, I won't go out to party. Just maybe for a solo and calm night out. Wala rin ako sa mood para sa clubbing ngayon.

There is a hotel here that I saw on Phyllis' IG post that has a very nice restaurant and bar at the rooftop so I decided to go there. After taking a quick shower, I wore a plain satin sleeveless black dress that's 2 inches above the knee and a black wool coat with the same length since it's chilly outside. I took my black clutch bag and went out. It's past seven so I can have my dinner at the restaurant first.

Hindi naman kalayuan iyong hotel sa aking condo kaya mabilis rin akong nakarating.

Dumiretso ako sa rooftop kung nasaan ang kanilang restaurant and bar. Napataas ako ng kilay ng bumungad sa akin ang hitsura ng lugar. It's my first time here and the place is so nice. The whole place is covered in glass and there's an open area near the bar counter where some chairs and tables are placed. The lights are warm, too. It complemented the beautiful city lights that I can clearly see behind those glass walls.

"Table for one?" A waiter approached me. I smiled and nodded.

Idinala niya ako sa isang pangdalawahang upuan malapit sa open area. I sat down and removed my wool coat and I instantly felt the cold breeze. I place my order and the waiter filled my glass with red wine before he left.

I leaned on the chair and looked around. The place isn't busy. Or probably not busy yet. May iilang kumakain. Maaga pa naman at baka mamaya ay dadami rin kaunti ang tao. Their bar counter looked so inviting. Ang naka-display doon na iba't ibang klase ng mamahaling alak ay nakakaengganyo. I'll surely go there later.

I smiled when I remembered something. I took my phone out and texted Kronus. I also took a selfie and sent it to him.

Minutes later and my ordered arrived so I started eating. I smiled at the first taste the steak I ordered. This feels nice. To take myself out on a date every once in awhile. I used to do this during my early days in college. Ilang beses rin noong highschool dahil madalas ay si Kronus ang kasama ko at noong nag-college naman ay si Pax at Phyllis na.

"Is this seat taken?"

Napa-angat ako ng tingin at agad nanlaki ang mata ng makita kung sino iyon.

"What the hell?"

Vroxx's face remained stern. I scanned him from head to toe. Bahagya pang nanlaki ang mata ko dahil nadagdagan nanaman ang tattoo niya sa kaliwang braso. He's on his usual outfit, dark jeans and white RL polo shirt. Hinila niya ang upuan sa harap ko at naupo.

I haven't seen him in probably a year!

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Just visiting Boston," sagot niya, "I'm with Seus."
