I didn't move. I watched him put the little girl down and walked towards me. He walked so fast that when I blinked, he's already in front of me. I felt my hands shaking as I stood there watching his face. His eyes we're bloodshot and his lips are shaking a bit.

"Gaia... babe.." he gently held my hands.

I looked at him in the eyes and I shook my hands out of his touch. I was trying to find something in his face, in his reaction. I was trying to find something that would make me feel... what I used to feel whenever I look at him. Because now, all I see is his face. That's all. Nothing more.

"Gaia.. let me explain," he said with his pleading voice.

I took a step back as if I couldn't bear standing so close to him, it feels suffocating.

"Babe.. please, l-let me explain," he said again.

"Explain," I couldn't even recognize my own voice.

He was taken aback by what I said, he didn't speak for a second. He probably thought I would lash out, kick him, punch him, slap him but no. That is not what I feel I needed, I want his reason. I want an explaination.

"B-babe.." he gently said.

"Explain."

"O-okay.." he sighed, he tried to touch me again. Iniwas ko ang buong katawan ko sa kanya.

"Don't touch me."

He sighed, a low tired sigh. Sinalubong ko ang titig niya, his eyes are... guilty.

"Caliope... she was u-uh.."

"The mother of your child, I see," I cut him off. Bumaling ang tingin ko sa dalawang nasa likuran niya. The woman is holding the little girl in her arms, soothing her but her eyes are on us.

"Babe.. it's not like that.."

"Don't deny it. Don't make me stupid."

"L-let's talk about this inside.. babe, please," he tried to hold my arms. Inalayo ko ulit ang braso ko sakanya.

"What difference would it make if we talk inside? Will your cheating magically disappear? Will your lies vanish into thin air?"

He didn't speak.

"That's what I thought. I don't mind standing here, just make sure that what you're about to say is nothing but the truth. I already wasted six years of my life listening to your bullshits, I don't need more. I want the truth," I said.

He nodded, bumuga siya ng hangin na parang sumasakal sakanya.

"C-Caliope.. I met her in California.. a year after we g-got together.." he stated.

Wow. Five fucking years ago. I felt a pang on my chest. Parang biglang nanlambot yung mga tuhod ko sa narinig. I badly want to just drop on the floor but I tried my best to stand tall.

"..I w-was drunk, it was a party," he stopped for a bit, waiting for a reaction from my face but I didn't give him any. I just stared at him.

Bahagya siyang lumingon sa nasa likod bago ako muling tinignan, "She got p-pregnant.. I was only planning to suppory the baby."

"Why didn't you tell me?" I was quite surprised that I still kept my cool even though my thoughts and heart are on rage, I am livid.

"I didn't know how to."

I laughed with no humor, "You and your bullshit reasons."

"I didn't wanna lose you.. you are the one I wanna marry, it's you who I want to have kids with," he said it like there's no little life involved.
