Nathan got up at the crack of dawn. Throwing on his robes, and clipping his hilt onto his belt, tieing his boots up and throwing on a large cloak, Nathan set off, to find his bestfriend. The person he cared for most.
The streets of Coruscant were beginning to light up naturally as the sun rose, shining down upon Nathan. For once, he had something to look forward to.
Nathan stood still for a moment, and closed his eyes. He remembered his master's words, some of her final words to him.
"My connection to you through the Force is strong, therefore I can sense your emotion."
Ahsoka's emotions must be all over the place right now, Nathan knew that. If his connection to her was as strong as he thought it was, he could try to reach out to her.
He could begin to sense a warm feeling, one with familiarity as he walked.
Nathan spoke, but with his mind.
"Ahsoka. It's Nathan."
There was a long pause, before:
"Nathan?"
"It's me. Don't be afraid. The case is over. It was Barriss. They're clearing you. You can return to the Temple now. Where are you?"Ahsoka jumped out from behind a bin and into Nathan's arms, catching him fully off guard. He laughed as she snuggled into him, much tighter than ever.
But soon, their laughter turned into tears. Both had gone through so much that it was hard to be happy, even now.
Nathan took a long look at Ahsoka. She was wearing a grey poncho, which covered almost her entire body, with black boots. Her face was a little dirty, but her eyes still sparkled, and her crown Nathan had bought her was still on her lekku.
"I'm so glad to see you, Ahsoka. Once we get back to the Temple I'll explain everything."
Ahsoka paused, looking away from Nathan and tearing up even more.
"Ahsoka?"
"I can't go back, Nathan."
"What?"
"No one believed me, except for you and Anakin. The Council betrayed my trust, and it won't ever feel like home as it once did."Ahsoka's words cut like a knife.
"Ahsoka, we can go back and fix this. We just nee-"
She cut him off with a long kiss, completely smothering him with affection as she had wanted to for so long.Once she pulled away, she took his mechanical hand in both of hers.
"I have to sort this out on my own. Without the Council, and, without you."
Nathan was speechless. Ahsoka had felt so betrayed by her people, she was ready to leave it all, even Nathan, to prove a point.
"I understand." Was all Nathan said, as he embraced the Togruta one last time.
"Keep in touch, Ahsoka, please."
"I will, I promise."
"I love you."
"I love you too, Nath." She gave him one last smile, before walking off down the street, her poncho casting a shadow over her. Nathan watched as she turned a corner and disappeared out of sight. He took a deep breath. He was trying his very best not to break down.
He turned to walk back to the Temple, with a stormy look on his face, as he marched. His anger was immeasurable by this point, only being held back by Ahsoka. But now even she was gone.
He turned a corner, and a bunch of drunken Twi'leks began to wander towards him.
"Jedi, huh? You don't look so strong to meee." One of them slurred.
"Stay back, for your own sake." Nathan muttered.
"Or what?" He said, laughing along with his friends.Nathan snapped. He lifted the Twi'lek into the air with the force.
"You won't...do anything. You're, a Jedi." One of his friends shouted."I don't have such weaknesses." Nathan said, and with one swift motion, he snapped his neck, releasing him to the floor. His friends gasped around him.
4 or 5 of them surrounded Nathan, all with fists clenched. But Nathan wasn't fazed. Head still under his dark hood, he switched on his saber, emitting the blade which lit up the streets.
He threw it at the person on the right, killing them instantly, before using the Force to spin it around, through the heads of each drunken mess before him. He summoned it back to his hand, and switched it off.
Nathan stood there for a moment, staring at the limp bodies he had just created. A tear came to his eye. He was not in the mood to be messed with, that was for certain.
Nathan headed back to the Temple. He didn't know what to do.
