[Lexi's POV]

We walked into the dirty old bathroom. It was so small I was surprised we both fit in here without getting in to the stalls.

She turned to me. Now that we were away and alone, she almost seemed less stressed. Her shoulders seemed to relax and she seemed calmer and more willing to cooperate. I was glad for that.

"So, do u have the note with all if the information the other note asked you to bring," Kara asked me. "Ya, give me a minute," I said snapping out of my trance and started digging through my purse.

As I pulled out the peace of paper with the note on it, Kara grew very nervous. As if her life depended on this peace of paper, getting to its final destination. I started to give her the paper, but at the last moment pulled it back.

"How about..." I paused for a dramatic effect, "you tell me something that I want to know, and I give you this." As i talked, I waved the paper mockingly in front of her.

Kara looked desperate as she considered what I had applied.

"Deal," she said. "What do u want to know, but before you ask, you should know there are a few questions that I will need to tell you what you need to know. OK?" She took in a deep sigh, almost as if signaling that this was a really bad idea. But I didn't care. I wanted to know stuff now, and if this creep was sending some girl to get and give information, then I will get it from her.

I nodded, knowing I had to be careful on what I asked, I didn't want to blow my one chance. "I need you to tell me who sent you," I said.

Kara's skin turned white, as if she had seen a ghost. I could tell her mind was rushing, trying to figure out how to reply. Then, she took me by surprise, she pulled out a peace of paper and wrote something down on it.

"Don't look at it or even open it until you are alone. Can I trust you not to tell the boy?" Kara said, her voice full of sorrow. I nodded, only because I didn't trust my voice.

Not tell Leo something that could lead us in the direction of the murderer! How could I do that! I decided I would have to. I handed Kara the sheet of paper and she said thanks. She went to open the door, but stopped and turned her head. She said, "I wish I could help you more." And with that she walked out the door.

I stood there frozen. My mind was rushing. What was in the paper, why did I have to be alone to open it, and most importantly, why did she say she wished she could help more. Was Leo or I in danger. If we were, I thought to myself, nobody would hurt a hair on Leo's head. There was no way I was letting my only friend leave me.

Leo's POV

I watched as Lexi and the new girl walked away. As they got out of view, the scary biker man walked up and sat down across from me. I started sweating and wondered what he could want from me. I knew that if I showed fear I could be punched or something, so I needed to be brave.

As he sat down, all of my mental training went away as in started shaking. I seriously needed to ask Lexi how she always acts so confident, I am the only one who can tell, half the time, if she is lying or is scared. And honestly, I could only remember one time. And that was when she was telling me about her parents.

Anyway, after the man sat down he just looked at me. Up close the man was even more intimidating. He had tattoos up and down his arms. They seemed to represent something, but I couldn't tell what. His black hair was in a buzz cut style. He also just had that confident, bad boy look, like all he wanted was trouble.

"The name's Zach, yours?" The stranger said. His voice took me by surprise. It was caring yet tough. You could tell he is the type of man who is dying on the inside but is trying to keep it strong for others. I wondered if that person was Kara...

Getting back to the conversation, I said, "Leo, my name is Leo." My voice was shaking horribly and I knew that he probably thought that I was weak.

"Alright, well look here Leo, I'm going I give you some good advice that could cost me everything. You are not to tell a soul about this, not even your little girlfriend!" Zach said, sounding like he knew exactly what he was doing. All I could do was nod, I still didn't trust my voice, or Zach now that I think about it. Anyway, me just agreeing made him relax.

"OK," he started in a whisper. "the people who killed your girlfriends parents, may be coming after more of her kind. And after she turns of age, they will come after her."

My mind was racing. What did Zach mean, 'your kind.' Humans? Cause that is the only thing out there. And more people were going to try? Also, what the heck did 'of age' mean. I had so many questions, but as I picked up my head to ask them, Lexi was back with the goth girl.

"Oh, sorry if we are intruding on anything," said Lexi, with a questioning look in her eyes. "Lexi, meet Zachary," said Kara. I couldn't help but laugh. Lexi gave me a glance so I shut up.

"It's Zach," the guy said. "Well," Lexi said. "It was nice meeting with you both, I've gotta get home, NOW!"

And with that, we were out the door.
