Leo's POV I woke to somebody jumping on my bed. "WAKE UP YOU SLEEPY HEAD! IT'S TIME TO GO TO THE WORST PLACE EVER!" I faintly heard Lexi yelling. Who thought she would be the one to get me up for school. Usually it's the other way. At least her saying 'the worst place ever' says that she is still herself.   I finally got enough strength to trip her with a pillow and shut her up. "Hey!" She shouted at me. "I just got my hair done!" I looked up. "Uh huh, that's why it looks like you just woke up." I finished with a huge yawn. "Alright, Max woke me up saying he didn't want to go back so soon. That was about a half hour ago, and I haven't done my hair yet today! Stop pressuring me!" Lexi said getting up. "Anyway, it's almost breakfast time, so get up," she said popping the p on up. She walked out and I had a silly grin on my face. I got up out of bed and walked over to my dresser. I pulled out some baggy jeans and a purple Aeropostale shirt. I put them on and walked out into the living room. Lexi and Max were sitting on the couch talking. Max was even laughing. Lexi saw me and whispered something into Max's ear. He nodded and said something back. Then he got up and walked to the kitchen. I heard somebody open the fridge so I guessed he was getting something to eat.   "What was that all about?" I asked Lexi, who was walking my way. "Nothing, I just needed to brighten Max's spirits about school today. He's really not excited for it. I'm going to get dressed, now that your finally out if there." Lexi walked toward the bedroom and shut the door quietly behind her. She had something going on in her head, I just can't figure out what it is. I decided to shake it away and go get something to eat. "Hey dad," I said, walking into the kitchen as Max was directed out by my mother, with his book bag on his back. "Hey bud, how did you sleep," my dad said putting the morning paper on the table. "Good," I replied, nodding my head. "I kept having the strangest dream though."   "Care to tell me about it?" my dad said in his famous 'tell me PLEASE!' look. I considered telling him. It was so strange. There was this old man telling me about mythical creature and people. Most of them were simple, well-know creatures like werewolves and vampires. One really stuck out to me because I have never heard of it before. I believe it was bender. What the heck was that anyway. "Nope, just some silly dream." As I said this, my dad leaned back in his chair, picking up his paper. "Well," he said, "your no fun!"    I walked over to the table with a bowl in my hand, and I stuck my tongue out at him.   Just then Lexi walked into the room, fully dressed. She looked relaxed yet beautiful. She had a dark purple tank top on under her grey Mickey Mouse sweatshirt. Then, she had skinny jeans with a pair of converse shoes. On her neck, as alway, she wore her mothers old tiger locket. "Hey," she said, "What y'all talking bout?" She said.   "Nothing"dreams" my father and I said at the same time. "So what one is it? Lexi asked us, getting a bowl from the cupboard. "Dreams, Leo's being a meanie and won't tell me about his dreams," my dad said.   Lex looked at me. "Do you deny this," she said in her judge impersonation voice. We all started cracking up after I stuttered. "No, i mean yes!" My dad and Lexi gave me a loom that said 'really.'    "Ok, ok," I said, putting my hands up. "I surrender. We were talking about dreams." "Ok, so what did you dream about? I dreamed about a guy who took me on a hike through the mountains. I never felt so free. It was so cool! You, Mr. Daniels?"Lexi said. "I dreamed about last years spring break, and how you two were dreading to go back. Leo, it's your turn," my father said.   I hesitated. "I dreamed about an old man telling me stuff about mythical creatures," I said. "Are you serious," Lexi said, "magical creatures, that is what you were so reluctant to tell us!"   I just nodded my head. Lexi chuckled as she finished up her cereal, while my dad sat the re looking dumb-founded. I wondered why. "Oh my gosh, we're going to be late for the bus, we better get going," Lexi said, checking her watch.  "Ya, you guys better hurry up, don't wanna be late on your first day back! my dad said, snapping out of his trance. We grabbed our backpacks and headed out the door to the bus. On the bus, we were split into boys and girls sides of the bus. So me and Lexi sat across from each other so we kept mouthing words to each other and making silly faces. The closer we got to school, the calmer and calmer she got. Probably just nerves.   ...........................................   Sorry it's such a short chapter! The next one will be pretty long.
