chapter 6 - my type

Collins POV

*Replaying the kiss from Saturday night*

I can not stop thinking about her lips, her eyes, and how soft her skin is. The adorable freckles on her cheeks. The feel of her tongue against mine. I want her lips on mine again. I need them. I need more.

I couldn't focus on anything else this weekend besides getting to see her at school, even though we were texting all weekend.

"So, what do you guys think?" Levi asks.

"She seems really cool, I think you should" Saylor responds.

"Collins?" Levi asks.

"Collins!"

"Sorry what?"

"I asked if you guys think I should ask Riven out"

"Wait, you're into her?"

"I mean yeah, she was cool and we got along well at the party. She is also really hot. So what do you think? You are her friend and know her more. You think she will be into it?" Levi asks.

"Um, I don't know. I don't think you are her type"

"What is her type?" Saylor asks.

"Um....brunette, pretty tall, athletic, green eyes" I explain.

"Okay well I am athletic and tall. And I could definitely pull off being brunette" Levi replies.

"Are you going to dye your hair to ask Riven out?" Saylor laughs.

"Why not? It will change back eventually. And be honest I would look fucking sexy" Levi smirks.

"Yeah I don't know about that Levi" I say.

"Ah fuck it I'll just ask her out today. Blondes are better anyways, I think she will be down" Levi says.

Levi is a very confident guy. He knows who he is and doesn't care what others think. For him if you can't love yourself then you weren't for him. Levi is the opposite of male toxicity. He is very comfortable with his sexuality and doesn't feel the need to act like what society has deemed to be a 'man.'

But how do I tell Levi that Riven will say no without outing her, even though she is out, or mentioning that I know this because she had my tongue in her mouth on Saturday.

As we arrive at school, I try to convince Levi not to ask Riven out but he gets out before I can stop him.

Riven and her sister were just getting dropped off.

As me and Saylor made our way toward Levi and Riven I began to get nervous at what she would say. Will she mention what happened between us?

"So would you like to go out with me sometime?" Levi asks.

"Oh, um, Levi you are really nice-" Riven says.

"Shit I read this wrong, didn't I?" Levi interrupts.

"No Levi. If I were into guys I would definitely say yes but-"

"Oh shit sorry Riven I didn't know"

"It's all good" she laughs.

"You really do know how to pick them, Levi" Saylor laughs.

"Oh fuck off"

"Hey" Riven smiles at me.

"Hey" I smile back.

"Bro why didn't you tell me that she was gay" Levi asks.

"I tried to tell you that you weren't her type but you didn't want to listen" I laugh.
