This is an alternate ending to the Jewel story. I include this only because it has Sock history in it. In this Spencer is like 17, instead of three. Long story. I changed it because I wanted Trip to be involved more with Sock and Jewel. Besides the mysterious ending which might or might not involve Trip.....

"So one day I went into school and ended it all. I had planned to take one kid who tortured me with me, but I realized I couldn't. He was just talking, laughing, having a good day. I decided either way his day would be ruined. I walked up to him, pulled the gun from my pocket, and shot myself, all in on practiced motion."
He faltered. I finished telling his story to Spencer.
"He died, and you know the rest."
Spencer looked between us, horrified.
"What?!"
All of the sudden Sock grabbed his shoulders.
"Go home and tell Mom and Dad you love them. That you know about me. Go and thank them for being good parents."
Spencer hesitated, than nodded, almost like he was sealing his fate. He turned and ran, hurried by grief and shock.
We watched him dissapear, before dissapearing with the ghosts into the blessed dark.
