Chapter Nine
•╚════◄░░░░░░►════╝ •
Dawn was in the lead as she continued to stack up points after points. It wasn't hard for her to take the lead due to her white serpent that attacked any robot it saw despite if someone else was fighting it first.
"Silky, destroy the second pointer over there." Dawn instructed pointing to the left and the snake instantly swatted its long tail at it before the snake let out a hiss of pain as an explosion went off.
Dawn's face went blank at seeing Katsuki swat the smoke away and walked through it before approaching Dawn with his usual scowl on his face. "You think I'm going to just let you take first place? Huh?! Think again!" He yelled in her face once he stopped in front of her, with him towering over her.
Dawn simply rolled her eyes but didn't back down as she glared straight at him not intimidated by his posture while Silky stood tall behind Dawn ready to attack on Dawn's command.
"Throwin' a tantrum aren't we? Mad that I'll out shine your explosive ass?" She taunted back with a fanged smirk and placed a hand on her hip before tilting her head to the side. "Or is that you can't take attention not being on you? Hm?" She taunted some more and poked him in the chest harshly while she continued to smirk at him.
'How dare she thinks she better than me!' "Don't start something you can't finish! I'll blow your ass to pieces right now!" Katsuki growled as he was more pissed off from Dawn's smirk and taunting.
"Do it, pussy."
Katsuki's eye twitched and pulled his hand back as his lips curled back into a withering scowl. He hated how her taunts got under his skin, he wished she would fear him like everyone else but his wish wouldn't be granted.
"DIE!" He shouted as he let off an explosive but Dawn kicked his hand causing the explosion to go upwards before she quickly stooped down and kicked Katsuki's legs underneath him.
She flipped backwards and landed on her snake as Katsuki fell to the ground. She then took notice of the multiple robots that had surrounded her and Katsuki causing her to smirk.
"Silky destroy every robot you see in the perimeter." Dawn patted her snake's head and the snake started slithering around quickly, running into the robots and destroying them quickly.
"OI!!" Katsuki hollered at seeing Dawn take up the advantage and was quick to start destroying robots in hopes to beat her. It was already a competition for everyone to see who will top first place but between Dawn and Katsuki, it was a competition between them.
"Wow, those two... they are in it for real.."
"Yeah, if I get in I gotta make sure I stay real clear of those two especially the guy, he's really scary."
Students strayed away from Dawn and Katsuki seeing how competitive and powerful they were and went on destroying robots on their own. It wasn't long when everyone stopped what they were doing when the ground started shaking.
"What the hell...?" Dawn looked up at seeing a huge shadow looming over her and her eyes slightly widen at the huge robot towering over everyone. It destroy anything in its path from its huge size.
"I guess this is the zero pointer! It's huge, run!" Everyone began to run away from the huge robots not wanting to be the one to defeat it and due to the fact that the robot was worth no points.
"Help! I'm stuck!"
Dawn's eyes widen as the soft scream reached her hears due to her heightened senses and stopped running to turn around to see that a girl was stuck underneath some rubble that had fallen.
"Silky! After me now!" She sprinted towards the girl in hopes of saving her before she could be crushed. She skid to a stop once approaching the girl and crouched down to pull the rubble away but was struggling.
"Hold off the robot!" Dawn shouted at her snake and the snake had slithered over to the robot before it began to wrap its huge body around the robot. This had slowed down the robot as the snake continued to constricts its body tighter every time the robot continued to move.
Dawn groaned as she used her strength to lift the rubble and lifted it up enough for the girl to slide her legs away before throwing it away somewhere else. Dawn helped her stand up and quickly glanced up at the robot that was starting to emit smoke.
"Come on! It's gonna blow, my serpent ain't gonna let it go until it stops moving!" Dawn grabbed the girl's hands and ran away just in time as the robot exploded. Their running forms were thrown forward from the force of the explosion which caused them to roll against the ground.
The two girls rolled to a stop and groaned as small pebbles dug into their skin before a loud blaring sound went off indicating the test was now over.
Sitting up and blinking slowly, Dawn sighed as she rubbed her temples to ease her from the headache that was setting in. She knew Silky had disappeared once the robot exploded since it took full force of the explosion.
'I have to make sure I give Silky her reward..' "Are you okay?" Dawn turned to the girl who was rubbing the back of her head before she jumped at hearing Dawn's sudden voice.
"O—oh! Yes! And thank you for saving me!"
"Don't mention, I'm glad you're okay." Dawn gave her a smile before she stood up but stumbled as her head started to spin. She cursed in annoyance knowing the dizziness was one of the drawbacks of her quirk and because of Silky getting somewhat badly hurt.
"Here, young lady take this."
Looking down, Dawn saw a small old woman giving her a lollipop and she shrugged her shoulders before taking the lollipop from the old woman. After taking off the wrapper she placed it in her mouth and instantly she started to feel better.
"It's Recovery Girl. She's here to patch any injuries we have with her quirk."
"Yeah I know, but I still wish I didn't have to be kissed by an old woman just to feel better.."
'I wonder if Zu passed...' Ignoring ongoing conversations about the old woman who was known as Recovery Girl, Dawn turned around and began to leave the building now that the exam has been over.
Dawn made her way outside the school and breathed in the fresh air that greeted her before letting out a sigh. 'I'm exhausted as fuck, some soba sounds good right now.' She began walking again, a peaceful look on her face as she kept her pink hues forward.
