"Oh my god look at all these clothes! I can just..." I gasped, as I took in the sight of clothes of different colours.
"You never shopped before?" Aidan asked, raising his eyebrows at me.
"It's been quite a while since I went shopping." I mumbled, slightly embarrassed about telling the truth. I looked down at my shoes, face flushed red.
"Well we got to do something about it, right? Shop all you want then." Aidan replied, tousling my hair. He pushed me gently towards to the nearest clothes rack, earning a slight chuckle from me.
"Ermm how about this?" Aidan said, causing me to turn around to look at him. He had a gold strapless dress that was too short for my liking in one hand and a dark green dress that had a deep V cutting through the chest which might expose too much of my skin.
" Nah that's one too short and that's one not really my style." I said, shaking my head while pointing to the dresses. Aidan then shrugged his shoulders casually and muttered something under his breath which sounded like "picky girls".
After a while, I was still fascinated by all the clothes and had only two pairs of shorts and 3 tops in my hands. I wanted to buy some dresses but none of the dresses had caught my attention yet.
Aidan had showed me most of the dresses he picked out for me but every time he came, I gave him a grunt indicating that I didn't like his choices.
yes im actually very choosy and also extremely indecisive.
"Please tell me you like this. If not I will kill myself." Aidan exaggerated. I chuckled and looked at what he was holding up. Then, my eyes flickered to something behind him and I stopped.
"That." I said, as if out of breath.
"Finally you..." Aidan sighed.
"No, behind you. That one." I replied, laughing mentally that he thought I liked his choice.
It was a cute knee-length dress which had designs on the upper part of the dress and the lower part was just turquoise in colour. It gave a both casual and chic look at the same time and i smiled. This was definitely a winner.
After several shoes and dresses later, I proceeded to the cashier to pay for my purchases but someone was faster.
"I'll pay for her." Aidan said, not giving me a second look. I opened my mouth to say something but only to close it when Aidan swiftly placed his index finger on my mouth, silencing me. I shot him a glare that just made him smile even wider.
Homestly, I wasn't the type who like boys paying everything for me. I usually snap at them and insist on paying myself. But because of that stupid charming smile of his, I kept quiet.
"You should have let me pay." I said, trying desperately to keep up with his pace. He just shook his head and mouthed a 'nope' to me.
Like a little child, I was dragged to the car as he insisted on driving me home which I refused.
"Come on, get inside the car." Aidan said, placing his hands gently on my back. I grudgingly agreed, knowing that it would take forever to walk from here to my house.
"Good girl." Aidan said as he settled down on the driver's seat.
"I'm just a bad girl that haven't been caught." I shot back at him. Then, both of us looked at each other and burst out laughing.
The rest of the car ride back home was quiet. Soon, darkness clouded my mind and I fell asleep.
When I woke up, someone was shaking me gently on the shoulders and whispering my name in my ears.
"Wake up sleepyhead." Someone kept shaking my shoulders but a bit more violent than before.
Rule #1: never disturb my sleep.
Its like an unwritten law that Aunt Julie knew. She knew I was not a morning person so why was she waking me up?
"Aunt Julie, just give me five more minutes!" I mumbled, curling myseld into a ball to be in a more comfortable position. I breathed in and smelt a familiar strong scent of cologne and perfume.
Hmm did Aunt Julie changed her brand of perfume? Did...
HOLY SHIT.
My eyes immediately flew open and I turned my head just in time to see two blue eyes fixated on me.
Talk about awkward.
Both of us were so close to each other that I could feel his hot breath on my cheeks, causing my heart to hammer repeatedly. The world around us seem to stop at that moment and everything that was happening was just like in the movies.
Aidan was slowly leaning in. It was perfect. Well, this was when the boy and the girl would kiss and say goodnight to each other and be in love with each other. Until..
"Ermm, no." I said, backing away from Aidan. Aidan seemed shocked by my reaction but he managed to recover from it.
"Bad breath problems." I chuckled nervously, making up a lie.
I couldn't let him just kiss me like that. I was trusting him way too easily and that's not way it should be.
Aidan nodded his head and said goodbye to me without making any eye contact. I hurriedly went out of the car and literally scrambled to my house.
Smooth ameli smooth.
Bad breath problems.
