ameli's pov

Confusion spreaded across my face as the car stopped to a halt. From the side of my eye, I could see Aidan glancing at me. The cooling yet warm air blew at my face as I stepped out from the car. From here, I could see some couple there. The area was right under the night sky and it looks romantic.

"I thought it will be good for a change in environment for this date. Not sure whether you will like......" Aidan said softly.

"No, I like it. Its perfect." I said, giving him an assuring smile. Aidan then instantly broke out in a huge smile and grabbed a mat from the car bunk for us to lie down on the grass. We kept just enough space between us and gazed at the sky full of stars.

It was awkward not knowing what to talk about to him. Butterflies just danced around in my stomach and urgh.

" Ermm, tell me more about yourself, Ameli." Aidan asked.

"Well, i am Ameli Steele and i am turning 22 this year. I like all kinds of pink stuffs but im kinda going for blue right now." I replied, blushing furiously when i thought about the reason why my favourite colour was now blue. Soon, Aidan was the one asking me questions and i was the one answering.

"Favourite songs?"

" Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood and Scarecrow by Alex and Sierra."

"Place you really want to go?"

"Definitely Singapore and Melbourne."

"Dog or cat?"

"Pussy."

"Past relationships?"

"No."

"Whaaat? You had none?" Aidan exclaimed with eyes wide open. I chuckled and said," Do you really thought i was that type of girl?"

"No of course not, i was just surprised that you had none when you have such a pretty face." Aidan admitted, a blush slowly creeping onto his cheeks.

We were so engrossed in our conversation that I did not notice that he had moved closer to me and had also his arms around my shoulders. I couldn't help but snuggle closer to him. I felt secure and I could feel a sense of security when I'm with him.

When did you become so corny, Ameli?

"What's the time now, Aidan?"

"11.30pm."

My eyes widened and I quickly exclaimed, " I better get going, I don't want my aunt worrying."

"Oh sure, let's go then." Aidan said, disappointment evident across his face.

I never been so upset about reaching home before until now. We were already at our house patio and I didn't want to leave Aidan yet.

"Thank you for tonight. I enjoyed every moment of it." I said, smiling.

"Glad you enjoy it, Mel." Aidan said, my ears perking up when he called my nickname.

With that, he cupped my cheeks with both of his hands and leaned in slowly. My mind was trying to process what was happening but it was impossible with my heart pounding like hell. He placed a soft kiss on my forehead before whispering a 'goodnight' to me.

I was blushing so I quickly unlocked the door and slammed the door right in his face.

Ameli, you felt it. Don't you even dare to deny that.

"I felt it. I swear I felt the spark." I whispered to myself as I slid down against the wall with my eyes closed.

And his name at the tip of my tongue.

I'm so sorry for the late update! My exams are coming but this chapter is the longest I have ever written in this book though (:
For the cast, I'm still not sure who to cast as Ameli Steele but I will decide soon !
