Chapter 7 The Slytherin party

As Draco walks into the common room with Alondra and Harper he stops them for a moment and pulls out two small boxes from a pocket of his black tuxedo. He hands one box to Harper and the other box to Alondra and says "Here I bought you both a present" Draco smirks at the ground and tries to avoid eye contact with Harper. Alondra notices Draco's actions and looks towards Harper and grins then looks back at Draco and says "Thank you Draco" Alondra and Harper say as they open their presents. Harper opens her present and pulls out a snake-like ring with a red stone gem in the center representing Harper's birthstone. As Harper puts the ring on her left ring finger Alondra opens her present and pulls out a bracelet with green and silver diamonds in the shape of a snake. As Alondra puts the bracelet on, the snake looks as if it was wrapping around her wrist. Alondra glares at her bracelet and asks Draco "You do know that people will mistake this for emerald right?" "Oh well we can just tell them that it's actually diamond, I meant to buy it diamond because it represents your last name which is Diamond" Draco said and he gained eye contact with Alondra but was still trying to avoid contact with Harper. Alondra had a black dress with black low heeled shoes. Alondra kept her dark short Brown hair down but the bracelet would stand out on her wrist with the black rose ring jewelry she also had.

After Draco gave the girls their presents they walked into the crowd of Slytherins. Blaise Zabini and Pansy Parkinson walked up to greet Draco, Alondra, and Harper "Hello everyone Alondra I see your still here at Hogwarts I'm surprised you haven't gotten caught or suspended from school for scamming people" Pansy said in a sly tone trying to intimidate Alondra "Good to see you too Blaise and Pansy it's never a pleasure to see you. I'm surprised you haven't gotten a boyfriend by now seeming as though it is fourth year but you as always and forever will be alone" Alondra says coming back at Pansy with a bit of aggression "Hmh yes the feeling is mutual'' Pansy said trying to come up with something better to say. She's not one for comebacks. Harper was holding Alondra's wrist as Blaise said "Hey Alondra, want to get some drinks at the snack bar?" "Sure I could use one" Alondra responded as she walked away. Alondra stopped in her tracks and looked back at Pansy and said "Perra (Bitch)" and continued walking with Blaise. Thank Merlin's beard that the music was loud enough that Pansy did not hear what Alondra said.

Once Draco got into the crowd with Harper they started to slow dance to the music. Draco placed his hand on Harpers waist and pulled her in "Wow what are you doing" Harper said as she hesitated to get the words out and was completely off guard "Oh sorry my bad I thought uuhhh" Draco hesitated and looked at the ground avoiding eye contact and took his hands off of Harper immediately "Oh it's ok I didn't think it was you but it is so I guess it's ok" Harper said shyly "Are you sure" Draco said shyly trying to make a little more eye contact and making sure everything was consensual "Yeah your my best friend and Harrys not here so he won't try to put a hex on you this time" Harper told Draco as they both laughed because they know what Harper said was true. Alondra at the snack bar watched all this go down and was smiling and grinning "Ah yes that's my Harper" Alondra said to herself "What are you- ohh I see Malfoys got a thing for Potter" Blaise said as he smiled over at Draco and Harper. Both Alondra and Blaise looked at Harper and Draco laughing because they liked seeing them both awkward. Draco and Harper both danced very awkwardly "Oh no people are staring I can't tell if they're looking at you or me I knew Harry was right this dress is to reveal ah insecurities coming out" Harper told Draco sounding worried as she danced with him. Harper was wearing a black fitted dress that's shorter than her knees with fitted sleeves and her orange red hair was braided in a half up half down hairstyle "Believe me no ones looking at me they're all looking at you" Draco said complimenting Harper and blushing. Face turning bright red as the Gryffindor house crest "Oh jeez I knew it ah" Harper said shyly and trying to hug Draco "It's ok there looking at how pretty you are" Draco said becoming even more red like his blood was taking over inside his face. Harper blushed and both her and Draco went to go get drinks with Alondra and Blaise. Blaise and Draco sat on the couch with the other boys and left Alondra and Harper alone. Finally Harper and Alondra had time alone together so Harper could tell Alondra what Fred and George said about her heterochromia "Hey so Alondra..I heard Fred and George tell a joke..about your heterochromia and how they said you should pick an eye color and..be normal like everyone else" Harper worried to tell Alondra because she did not want to make her feel bad or start any more drama "What they did not...oh I'm going to make those two regret what they said. Oye Blaise cares to dance?" Alondra asked as she walked over to the couch where the boys were sitting. Alondra stepped out on the dance floor and started to tango with Blaise and the dj played some tango music for Alondra's request to change the music. Fred and George in the corner of the common room saw what was happening and got super jealous of what was happening.
