Chapter 8 Potter instead of Pottah

Finally Harper, Alondra, and Draco made it to the common room. Harper walked in and Draco stepped inside and said to Harper "Finally wow I forgot how long of a walk the Gryffindor common room is from the Slytherin common room" out of breath "Thanks Draco good night everyone Alondra come on Ginny's going to show me how to hover on her broom stick better" Harper told Alondra in excitement as they walked up the stairs "I think not, Harper come up here and go to sleep it's super late in the morning I didn't think you'd be out this late. Alondra thanks for making sure Harper got back safely but I'm sure she can take herself to bed so if you don't mind please head back to your common room before you get in trouble" Harry said yelling at the top of the stairs of the common room "What can I say Harry I'm protective of my friend" Alondra said with a bit of anger in her voice yelling back up at Harry and walking out of the room. Harper started walking up the stairs and once she entered and closed the door to her dorm Fred and George started teasing Draco about his moves with Harper "So Malfoy you got a thing for Harper huh? I saw the way you danced with her and the words you said to her. Also that was a lovely present you gave her as well." Fred said to Draco making fun of him "W- What do you know about that mind your own business Weasley you shouldn't be telling me anything because I heard that Alondra left you both to go to the yule ball with Blaise" Draco hesatated getting the words out because he felt guilty, Knowing his come back wasn't good enough. Harry was walking down the stairs when he heard the conversation between Draco and twins. Fred continued to tease Draco and said "Well did you like what she was wearing I didn't hear you compliment her" Fred said "Yeah girls like compliments we tell Alondra them all the time" George said "Come on just admit it you like Harper ferret boy" Fred said then both Fred and George started singing "Ferret likes Harper Malfoy likes a Potter" several times over. Draco started to blush at this point feeling guilty and blushing. His face red as a tomato "I mean Harper is cute but don't tell her I said that just you two seem trustworthy" Draco said "What did you just say about my sister Malfoy?" Harry said stomping in the room and walking up to Malfoy's face "You better stay away from my sister ferret boy you'll regret it. You know people have been talking Malfoy, some say you dyed your hair white looking like a true old man" Harry said to Malfoy but internally Harry was terrified. Malfoy might put a hex on him "Why what are you going to do about it Potter and I knew you were the person that started that rumor I suspected it" once Draco said that everyone in the room gasped. For once Malfoy said to Potter instead of Pottah "Ha that's what I thought" Draco said trying to intimidate Harry "Get the heck out of my common room and stay away from my sister snake!" Harry kicked Draco out of the common room and shut the door behind him loudly and angrily. Harry marched up the stairs to his common room with the boys and fell asleep for the rest of the night. Well at this point it was 6:15 on a Sunday morning.

Sunday morning, after breakfast in the great hall the Gryffindor quidditch team was getting their stuff ready for their quidditch game against Alondra and the Ravenclaws. The Gryffindors walked over to the quidditch pitch and the seats were filled with all the Hogwarts students waiting for the intensive game to start. Five minutes before the game starts all the Gryffindors and Ravenclaws huddled up as a team before they started the game. Lee Jordan, Fred and George's friend was the score keeper and he sat on the tall tower where the teachers usually sit. In the beginning of the first half of the game Gryffindor was up twenty points ahead of Ravenclaw who had ten points all because their star seeker Alondra did not play as amazing as usual. Alondra was still upset about the night before and the augment she and the twins had. Fred and George noticed Alondra during the game not her usual self "Oye Freddie I just remembered something" George said calling over towards Fred as they rode their broomsticks on the field "What?" Fred called out "We never apologized to Alondra like we said we would' George yelled "That's why she's probably not herself today" Fred said calling out trying not to be too loud for everyone to hear "Oye are you two dingbats playing the game or what ? You're supposed to be beating the ball from the other team. Come on you nitwits focus" Harper yelled out trying to have Fred and George focus so they win the game. Harper and Alondra are great friends but their both really fierce competitors "Oye sorry Harper we'll get right on it" Fred said "Yeah well rack up some more points in no time" George said as they all flew away on their broomsticks and continued playing the game. In the second half into the game Gryffindor had gotten seventy points and Ravenclaw had a low of 30 points. Before things got more embarrassing for the Ravenclaw team, the announcers announced a break for both of the teams. Alondra was holding back her tears for she felt ashamed for the performance that she had played in front of everyone, especially in front of her father. Alondra was in a corner away from the team so she couldn't embarrassed them for much longer Alondra looked around for her bag when she saw it on the ground she ran towards it and searched it desperately trying to find something when she did she pulled out a small vial of fire whiskey "I know I'm underage and I shouldn't be drinking this but Merlin's beard I need this" Alondra whispered to herself before she can open the vial she heard her name being called "Alondra there you are what's going on your the best seeker on your team so why aren't you ranking up points like usual. You're not acting like yourself, what's wrong?" Harper asked with a worried tone "It's nothing Harp" Alondra said in a low tone with her back turned trying not to face Harper so she wouldn't see her tears that is now leaking from her eyes "Alondra I'm your best friend you take care of me all the time so now it's my turn to take care of you. Please Londra tell me I want to help" Harper said sounding worried "Harp I told you my nickname is Lon not Londra" Alondra said with a soft chuckle and desperately trying to change the subject "Alondra don't try to change the subject that's not very professional especially at a quidditch game" Harper said in a teasing tone. Alondra chuckled knowing she was right, She hesitated at first but turned around slowly and was now face to face with Harper not caring to hide the vial "So what's up why aren't you playing as great and amazing as usual?" Harper asked desperately waiting for an answer "Harp I...I.." Alondra was trying to find the words for Harper's question but her throat started to suffocate with sorrow and misery filled her voice as she tried to speak "Oye mate just breath take a deep breath like you told me. In through your nose out through your mouth" Harper tried calming Alondra down by holding one hand and taking the fire whisky out of the other hand. Alondra trusted and followed Harper's instructions so she breathed in through her nose and out through her mouth and felt more calmer. All that suffocation of the sorrow and misery slowly went away "I'm sorry Harp it's just...after what happened yesterday I feel so..." "Betrayed?" Harper finished the sentence for Alondra knowing she was about to break down into tears because she could see the sorrow coming back and water started to arise in her eyes "I didn't ask to be born like this...I'm afraid of what 'Normal' people will think when they see my eyes. It's my biggest insecurity" Alondra pleaded, feeling ashamed and covering her face. Harper was having mixed emotions of anger and sadness, the anger she felt was for the twins. They shouldn't have joked around about her heterochromia in the first place. The sadness was for Alondra, for she hadn't had many friends or none at all when she was young so she had not felt the feeling of betrayal so much. Harper held Alondra as she started to break down. Alondra held Harper back with a tight grip, hugging while chanting why's "Don't be sad at least there not muggles like the Durslys ugh I can't even say their name their so bad" Harper said trying to cheer up Alondra and make her laugh "They're the worst muggle's in muggle history" Alondra said with venom in her voice "The worsted muggles ever to have existed, Off with the heads of the Dursleys" Harper said sounding disgusted "Off with their heads!" Alondra yelled out with pride. Harper now smiling for her plan worked "Off with their heads!" Harper yelled out as well with pride in her voice too, getting the team's eyes on them. Alondra smiled at Harper while she wiped her cheeks with her sleeve "Thanks Harp" Alondra thanked Harper while looking at her hand where she held the vial of fire whiskey "Don't worry I won't tell" Harper said while putting her finger on her lips. The announcers said that the game would continue in a few minutes Alondra looked at Harper and said "You should head back. I must apologize for my poor performance to the crowd and my team" Alondra said putting on her goggles that were hanging around her neck. Harper agreed before she was about to leave Alondra said "Harper Potter..thank you again" "Your welcome" Harper said smiling and walking away. Alondra shuffle's her coat a bit trying to look professional again "Time to be the star seeker my team deserves for I am Alondra Sever Diamond" Alondra picked up her broomstick and walked in front of her team until they reached the entrance "Let the real game begin" Alondra said as she smirked and started to fly up with her broomstick while standing on top of it trying to look fearless.
