Halloween is the best time of the year for the Hogwarts students. All except Alondra. In the Gryffindor common room Harper and Alondra were eating candy and sweets "Hey Lon what's your favorite thing to do during Halloween" Harper asked "Oh well I don't really celebrate Halloween, see in my family we celebrate something called Dia De Los Muertos day of the dead" Alondra said "Why would you celebrate the dead or someone's death?" said Ron walking into the room "Oh well it's the day we celebrate our loved ones that have passed you know like our ancestors" Alondra explained "Oi that sounds scary, Scarier than Halloween" Ron said "Well there's this thing called the Ofrenda and you make a memorial and put up pictures of a family member that passed and you leave gifts for them so they find there way back and they can celebrate with us" Alondra explained to everyone "That's very interesting Lon, Oi Mionie are the houses still giving out candy at the locations we picked out for Halloween" Harper asked Hermione looking her way "Yes I already told Slytherin's prefect to give out candy in the dungeon hallway, Ravenclaws give candy out in the library, and Hufflepuffs give candy out in the main hallway by the courtyard, and lastly me, you, and Ginny will give candy in the courtyard, by the Hufflepuff's" Hermione said putting her book down and reading off the list on her clipboard "Oh ok good, now that we've got that all taken care of for tonight, Hey Lon are you celebrating Halloween with us?" Harper asked looking back at Alondra and looking relieved "No thanks I think I'm going to make an Ofrenda for my mom even though she won't become a ghost because she does not have any unfinished business to do so her ghost never visits me but her spirit still lives with me" Alondra said sounding happy but a bit sad that she would have to miss the Halloween candy "Oh ok if you want to I could stay with you" Harper said kindly "It's ok Harp no need besides weren't you going to get candy with Draco?" Alondra asked "Well yes but I just wanted to look out for my best friend" Harper said "It's ok, really it is go have fun Harp and save me some candy" Alondra told Harper "Alright fine it was always hard to convince you and to change your mind" Harper laughed with Alondra after what she said "And I will definitely save you some candy" Harper said as she walked off with the rest of Gryffindor house and went do get candy.

As Harper was looking for Draco and walking down the hall Harper heard a whistling voice in the distance. The hall was dark. "Hello?" asked Harper as she walked down the hall "BOoO" Draco popped out from behind Harper and laughed "Draco that wasn't funny" Harper said in laughter "Yes it was anyways I see your walking to the Hufflepuff candy stand" Draco said avoiding eye contact "Yeah I was just about to help Justin Finch Fletchy with the Hufflepuffs" Harper said trying to make sure Draco was listening to her "Oh- well- uh- can I join you? I don't really have anything else to do but scare you the whole time but I thought that would bother you when your busy so it's ok if you don't want me to help-" "Oh it's ok of course you can come and help besides the prefects for Slytherin will donate the money they make to their houses for better quidditch equipment and stuff like that" Harper told Draco. Draco, astounded by Harper's voice, didn't want her to stop talking; they walked off to help the rest of the houses give out candy for Halloween. Once Harper and Draco finished helping they were both eagerly and tirelessly walking to their common rooms departing from each other because they were exhausted from walking around, helping, and collecting candy for themselves. Once the two finally made it to their common rooms they fell fast asleep. They didn't even have the energy to open their candy.
