Y/N and Bunny continued pelting each other with snowballs, not noticing that Jack and Cupid had left. Then Bunny ran toward her, dodging the snowballs thrown at him.
"You'll have to do better than that, Sheila!" he called with a smirk.
"Oh man," Y/N panicked.
She ran until Bunny then tackled her to the ground, them laughing at the result. When they stopped, he was on top of her, making them blush when they realized it.
"Uh, I guess you win," Y/N commented.
"Yeah," Bunny nodded, listened, then commented, "It's too quiet."
She noticed it too and said, "You've got to be kidding me. They ditched us."
"They are going to get it," he grumbled.
Then he noticed her shivering a bit.
"You wanna maybe discuss this somewhere warmer?" Bunny suggested.
"Please," Y/N nodded.
He got off her, helped her up, then told her, indicating to his back, "You might wanna hold on."
She got behind him and wrapped her arms around his neck before he thumped his foot on the ground, where a hole formed under them. He hopped through the tunnels as Y/N held on for dear life. Because he was so fast, it didn't take long for them to reach the warren. When she felt him stop, she got off him and looked around to see it and she was in awe.
"Welcome to the warren, Sheila," he said.
"It's so beautiful," she commented.
"Thanks," Bunny blushed a bit.
There was a slight pause between them until she spoke up.
"You know, revenge on Jack and Cupid can wait if you wanna show me around. Maybe paint some eggs for Easter," Y/N suggested.
He smiled in response and said, "I like the sound of that."
He then showed her around the warren, her loving every minute of it. She felt like she was home with it being outdoors and always springtime. And seeing Bunny with how much he loved the place he lived made it that much better.
As he showed her around, Bunny couldn't help but sneak glances at Y/N and smile at how she was enjoying the warren. It felt good to see someone appreciate spring the way he did and with Easter being one of her favorite holidays, that made it better.
They then decided to paint some eggs, so they headed down to grab some and started the process. When they were hand painting, he noticed how precise she was with her painting, especially since they were nature themed. She had painted some leaves, flowers, even trees on some, which really impressed him.
"You're quite the artist, Y/I," he commented.
"Thanks. A while back, Tooth showed me my memories and it turned out I really liked painting. I just never had a lot of time to do it. Now as Mother Nature, showing some type of creativity in nature helped," she explained.
"I always wondered why spring looked more beautiful in meadows and forests," Bunny smirked.
Y/N giggled then said, "Those are my favorite spots."
They continued their work in silence before he spoke up.
"If you don't mind me asking, how did you become Mother Nature?" he wondered.
"I don't mind," she said then explained, "Before I got my memories, I had a feeling I always loved nature; luckily I was right. I spent a lot of my time in the woods than my own house. I loved the peace and quiet with the occasional wildlife coming out. Then one day, I heard about someone clearing the woods for who knows what; they never specified. I was not having that, so I rallied as many people as I could to defend the woods, which was only half, most of them being children. It ended up an uproar, fighting with weapons, but..."
She trailed off, not wanting to continue, which Bunny understood. He gently placed an arm around her, making her look at him to see his sympathetic, kind eyes.
"I'm sorry that happened, Sheila. But I can tell you this. The Man in the Moon saw something in you that would help protect the children of the world as well as be an asset to taking Pitch down. I know we haven't really talked about you being a guardian a lot, but if Manny picked you, that oughta mean something. You standing up for what you believe in is probably what he saw and wanted you to bring that as Mother Nature. And if he didn't see something, I sure would've and I see it now," Bunny told her.
Y/N couldn't help but smile at his words before resting her head in the crook of his neck. He leaned his head against hers in response while rubbing her arm in a side hug.
"Thanks, Long Ears. You know how to make someone feel special as well as convince them to be a guardian," she said.
"You mean...?" he started to ask.
"Yes. I'll be a guardian," Y/N said.
"Glad to hear it, mate," Bunny smiled.
"Just please don't let North play that fanfare again," she requested.
He chuckled and said, "We didn't play it for Jack and Cupid, so I think I can make that work."
"Good. And speaking of them, shouldn't we plan our revenge?" Y/N smirked, looking at him.
He smirked back and said, "We should."
