As the others searched, Jack stayed with Cupid, who was laying on a bed and in more pain. Jack was beyond worried for her at this point.
"I'm sorry I can't take this pain away, Angel," he told her.
"Believe me. If you and the others didn't love me, it would be way worse," she said before grunting from a sharp pain.
"So love from families and friends can help?" Jack wondered.
"They can, but because the only reason this happens is from romance falling apart, it does a number on me," Cupid answered.
The yetis came in and tried what they could, but there was either no improvement or the pain would be worse. Then the other guardians came back.
"Phil, keep an eye on her for me," Jack requested, Phil nodded with a grunt, then Jack kissed her forehead before assuring her, "You'll be okay. I promise."
"I know, but just so you know, you missed," she smirked weakly.
He chuckled then told her, "I won't when I get back."
Cupid nodded and Jack left to see the others.
"Anything on Y/N?" Jack wondered.
"Nothing. We checked Pitch's lair first since that was her last known location," Tooth answered.
"After that, we split up then regrouped here," North added.
Sandy nodded regretfully.
"How's Cu holding up?" Bunny asked.
"She's in more pain, but she says if we didn't love her, it would be a lot worse," Jack answered.
"How so?" Bunny wondered.
"This kind of thing only happens in romance-type love and while fixing it is the main way to heal her, the love between family and friends is enough to keep her from dying," Jack explained.
"At least that's some type of good news," Tooth pointed out.
"But she's not getting any better due to romance disappearing," Jack said.
"Then we gotta fix this and quick," Bunny stated.
"Oh I think that'll be a problem," Pitch's voice remarked.
The guardians got back to back with their weapons ready before Pitch appeared in the middle and knocked them down. They soon got up and surrounded him.
"Hmm. There seems to be one of you missing. How odd," he smirked.
"I'm warning you, Pitch. If Cupid dies, I'll make sure you do too!" Jack threatened.
"And that goes for Y/N too!" Bunny added.
"Oh please. You can't get rid of me, remember?" Pitch remarked.
"Yeah, but you can overcome fear. Cupid and Y/N will always be around to stop it, as well as us," Tooth snapped.
"How touching. However, I'm afraid Y/N will have a bit of trouble stopping me," Pitch said.
Then a huge weed covered in specs of black sand grabbed one of the huge pillars, getting everyone's attention. They all followed the weed trail to see a woman in a nature yet dark outfit with her body covered in specs of black sand like the weed. But the woman was easily recognizable.

"Y/N?" Bunny asked in shock.
In response, she swung down and knocked Jack and Tooth back before landing beside Pitch.
"Man. I know we've had our issues, but not this bad," Jack groaned.
"Shelia, what are you doing? We're your friends," Bunny told her.
"I wouldn't bother. She's long gone. And with her weeds spreading hate, Cupid will be gone soon," Pitch said then asked her, "Care to finish them?"
Y/N readied a whip-like vine with a smirk then answered, "With pleasure."
She then swung it before preparing to strike Bunny when a heart-shaped arrow pierced it, the black sand vanishing and the weed shriveling up. They all looked to see the infirmary door open and a weakened Cupid with her bow at the ready before lowering it.
"I may be weak..., but I'm not down," Cupid stated.
