ROTG 2: Love Conquers All (Jack X Cupid & Bunny X Y/N)

Chapter 13: Trouble Comes In

Jack and Cupid had just finished their date and he brought her back to the Eiffel Tower.

"How did we manage to have a snowball fight on the Tenerife beach?" Cupid chuckled.

"I can make it snow anywhere," Jack answered then pointed out, "But didn't you enjoy that and ice skating on the ocean?"

"I did; it's just when you think of the beach, the last thing that comes to mind is snow," she mentioned.

"Point taken," he nodded then told her while taking her hand, "I just want to make sure that my girl has fun no matter where we are. And since I'm all about snow, that's how I do fun."

"I know, but maybe I can show the guardian of fun a type of fun where it doesn't always involve snow," Cupid said, pulling him to her.

"Challenge accepted," Jack whispered with a smirk as they leaned in.

They then kissed while wrapping their arms around the other before eventually parting.

"Sadly, I have to go. More busting into the pole until I know all of its secrets," he said, starting to float up.

She giggled and asked, "Will you ever grow up?"

"Is that a trick question?" Jack asked before flying off.

Cupid laughed before heading over to the top of the Eiffel Tower to get a good view. She wasn't even there five minutes when she felt something fly by. She smirked and prepared her bow and arrows.

"Okay, Bunny. You think this is a way to get me back? My arrows can hurt as well as make anyone fall in love," she called.

But then she was knocked to the ground, hard enough to make her gasp for air. She got up in a panic and readied her weapon again.

"Bunny would never do that," she said.

"No he wouldn't," a chilling and familiar voice sounded.

She turned around to be greeted by Pitch.

"We wondered when you were gonna show up," she growled.

"The longer I waited, the more likely you all would put your guard down. That was at least the case for half of you," he smirked.

"You think we would forget? Whenever you're involved, we make sure where we're at is clear before we do anything else," Cupid remarked.

"As I said, it didn't seem that way for half of you. You and Jack go on dates and are desperately trying to get Bunny and Y/N together and those two won't even admit how they feel. How pathetic," Pitch said.

"How about less talking and more of me kicking your butt?" she suggested.

"With the way I'm feeling, it would be the other way around," he stated and they flew at each other, beginning the fight.

This continued until Pitch had Cupid by her wings. She tried to use them to break free, but he was able to hold her in place, scaring her as she tried to get free.

"Yes. I feel your fear; it's delicious. And to make it more so, I know your weakness. I'm sure you'll hate to see it come to be," Pitch said, laughing at the end.

"No," Cupid whispered.

"Yes," he answered before using a black sand dagger to cut into her side.

She screamed at the pain before Pitch let her fall.

"NO!" Jack's voice sounded as he saw the scene.

He then flew after her as fast as he could until he managed to catch her. He then landed and had her stand up.

"Angel?" he called, his voice cracking a bit.

"I'm okay. It's okay," she assured, breathing slowly.

"Jack Frost. It's been a while," Pitch said from behind him.

Jack became angry as he turned to him, readying his staff and protecting Cupid.

"Not long enough," Jack remarked.

"Pity you feel that way," Pitch said.

"What do you want with Cupid?" Jack demanded.

"Oh nothing. At least yet. I want to do what I did last year but with a twist. You see, I was there when Cupid trusted you with her big secret, so I figured I start with her, bringing hate into the world and getting rid of her before I take out the other guardians. And it'll spread like a weed...which Y/N will do a marvelous job at," Pitch explained.

The couple's eyes widened at this realization before glaring back at him.

"She'd never do that," Cupid remarked.

"She'd never join you," Jack added.

"We'll see," Pitch smirked before leaving.

Jack then went to Cupid and checked her wound.

"I can frost it over to dull the pain, but we got to see Y/N and get to the pole to get it fully healed and tell the others about Pitch," Jack said.

"Okay. Let's do it then," Cupid agreed, Jack began frosting her wound, then she commented, "I'm glad you came back. Even if it was for a prank."

"How'd you know?" he asked.

"Because you're you," she pointed out.

They chuckled lightly then Jack was finished.

"Alright. I'll fly you there. I don't know if you can fly well with that," Jack told her.

"Okay," Cupid agreed.

She wrapped her arms around his neck while he wrapped an arm around her waist and he flew them for the pole.
