She's too scared to get close to anyone because everyone who promised they would stay, turned their backs and walked away.

Me and Amy were walking around in her neighborhood when a very familiar figure stood in front of us. At first I was surprised, and then I understood. Blake was here to teach me the rules. How he knew where I was, I don't know nor do I want to find out. "Hey sis, there is a lot of explaining to do." He said, stepping forward to give me a hug. "Yes there is, Amy if you want you can listen, but it's up to you." I said, breaking out of the embrace to look at me friend.

"I'll stay, besides, I'm one of these things too. By the way Blake, is there any way to find out what I am before I turn or whatever?" Amy asked, looking curious and hopeful. "Yeah, I have to taste your blood though." Blake said, trying to let Amy know that she'd have to go through the hard way to know. "It's fine." Amy said, looking a little scared. "Alright, well come with me into the woods. Amy take your pick Regan or me carrying you there?" My brother asked. Why does she get to be carried? I wondered when it hit me. We're using vampire speed.

"Reggie." Amy said, as if it was obvious. "Are you sure Amy, I'm not as strong or as fast as Blake, and I'm sure I don't have as much self control as him." I said, making sure she knew the risks of me carrying her. "I don't care, you fed yesterday and you turned to protect me." Amy said, getting behind me. "Okay then." I said as I felt her arms wrap around my neck. When she jumped up I automatically grabbed her legs as they wrapped around my waist.

"Reggie, do you know how to use your speed?" Blake asked. "Nope but I'm about to find out." I said, slightly worried I won't be able too. I took a step forward and began running. I felt the wind going through my hair, but everything was crystal clear. I'm not sure if it was my vampireness or my imagination, but the cry of surprise from Amy told me it was the earlier.

Before I knew it we were in the woods and Amy was jumping off my back. "That was scary." Amy said, wiping sweat off her hands and onto her jeans. "I'm used to it." Came Blake's reply. "That was....I can't even find a word for it." I said, amazed I didn't drop Amy and that I wasn't even out of breath. "Yes well, back to buisness." Blake said, sitting down in the grass, Amy and I followed suit. "Reggie, your only half vampire. That's why you still need to breath, eat, sleep, and your heart beats, but it's faster than normal." Blake said staring straight at me as Amy played with the grass.

"Anything else?" I asked, suddenly wanting to get this over with as realization hit me. I'm half leech. "Well, you can't kill a human. Everyone not a vampire will see you as a goddess because of the natural good looks, your weakness is iron but since your only half vampire it won't affect you as bad. You heal faster, but your human side makes it easier to kill you. Fae, elemental, and wizards use their magic or power for the first time when they are sixteen, they are turned earlier than vampires because it takes longer for vampires to turn. And after a few years of practice, when you drink from someone you can make them feel anything you want them to. Oh and I'm not sure if you'll keep growing since you turned early, but I think you will because of your human half. You should grow faster because of the vampire half, I think." Blake said, making me feel better.

"And what about me, what am I?" Amy asked, suddenly joining the conversation. "I have to taste your blood, are you sure you want to find out this way?" Blake asked, scooting closer to Amy. "Yes." She whispered as she tilted her head, giving Blake permission to sink his fangs in her. I felt my own fangs elongate of the thought of him hurting her. I clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms and drawing blood. Before I could pull my brother off my friend, Blake pulled away. "You're a wizard, I'll go to the black market tonight and buy you a spell book." Blake said, before licking the puncture wounds, they healed almost instantly.

"Sure, what about Gabbie?" Amy asked, now turning to look at me. "We'll go to her house in a minute and tell her. Blake, how do you tell the type of supernatural by blood?" I asked, so I could see what Gabbie was if she wasn't human. "Well, you've tasted human already, you have to taste vampire, elemental, wizard, and fae. The taste will always be imprinted in your mind, and it doesn't matter if they are half or full. If it's there, it's there." Blake said, shrugging. "Then take me blood tasting." I said, using fake enthusiasm to hide my horror.

Blake chuckled before slitting his wrist and pressing it to my lips. "This is what vampire blood tastes like." He said, as I begun to suck on the wound a little before he pulled away. He slit Amy's wrist, I held back the urge to rip off his head and brung Amy's wrist to my mouth. Once I memorized the taste of wizard blood to my memory I licked the wound and turned back to Blake. "Now what?" I asked, knowing I still have two more blood types to taste.

"We have to find a fae or a elemental." Blake said, getting up. "Can we drop off Amy at her house so she can get her parents to take her to Gabbie's and tell them you came and picked me up?" I asked, seeing the look of relief on Amy's face from the corner of my eye. "Yeah." Blake said, seeing my reasoning. As soon as the word left his mouth, Amy was jumping on my back for me to carry her home.
