"WHAT?!" Jeonghan screamed before Joshua could even open his mouth
Joshua just stood there in shock, completely frozen in place. He wasn't going to babysit an 8 or 14 year old but someone almost his age?
'Why does he even need a babysitter' he thought
"I don't need someone to take care of me! I can cook I can clean I can take care of myself well!" Jeonghan complained , frowning to his mom.
"Who knows? You might just throw a party and trash our house. We need someone to be surveillance for us!" His mom scoffed
Thinking there was nothing he could do, he reached out his hand and introduced himself
"Hello I am jeonghan glad to meet you I guess?" He said in a tired tone
"Hi, my name is hong jisoo but you can call me joshua it's good to meet you" Joshua said as he reached for Jeonghan's hand to shake it.
"Well we're off so make yourself at home. You can stay in the room next to Jeonghan's he'll show you the way"
Jeonghan's mom smiled at them and sat beside the driver's seat, which Jeonghan's dad was already sitting in.
Joshua's mom saw the interaction going well so she drove off happy that she could relax for a month now that her hermit son has left.
"Well come on in" Jeonghan opened the gate and walked right in nonchalantly
'Well he doesn't seem so bad' Joshua thought as he slowly approached the house
The inside of the bungalow was more lavish than the outside, Joshua couldn't help but stare in awe, his jaw hanging out.
Jeonghan saw the older amazed and silently laughed to himself
They walked up the stairs and headed to their rooms "This will be your room and this is mine. Remember to knock before coming in" the younger said as he headed in
"A-ah wait!" Joshua blurted out "do you want anything for lunch? I can cook"
"Oh you can cook? Hehe it better be the best thing I've ever eaten. Cook me anything" Jeonghan snickered
Joshua nodded back in response and headed to the kitchen to see what he had to work with
Jeonghan's mom did leave him a credit card to use for their expenses but he wanted to see what was in the kitchen first.
After searching the cabinets and fridge, he decided to make something he would cook regularly for his family
Kimchi stew! His version was always sweeter than normal, but it was what his family enjoyed. But half way while he was boiling the stew, he though to himself 'wait.. these people are rich right? Oh no what if they eat only like expensive stuff! Like steak and and caviar??? Did I already mess up??' he nervously stirred the stew but he still had pride in his cooking
He turned of the heat and got ready some utensils for 2. He also placed out some side dishes to pair with the stew. He scooped freshly steamed rice onto a bowl and placed it on the table too. He then placed the pot filled with stew ontop of a silicone mat to not mess up the table.
He stretched and took off his apron as he walked up the stairs to Jeonghan's room. He knocked a few times before hearing a "come in" as he walked inside
The room was big, and decorated with posters and some trinkets. The interior looked nice but the entire place was certainly messy.
"Foods ready! Also do you want me to help clean your room while you eat? I'll be fast" Joshua offered
"It's fine you can do it tomorrow let's eat together! I want to know more about my little care taker~" Jeonghan denied in a rather mischievous tone
Joshua agreed and he walked towards the dining table, Jeonghan later arriving
"Ooooohhh~~ looks good shua~~ seems like someone is a good chef" Jeonghan teased
Joshua was shocked at how the younger was already getting comfortable after only meeting for a day, calling him by a nickname. He was surprised, but not in a bad way
They ate together in jubilee and Joshua was relieved that Jeonghan liked the food. They talked about basic stuff like hobbies, school life and a little romance.
"Sooo~~is there anyone you like shua?" Jeonghan asked with shinning eyes
"No not yet. I've never fallen in love in my life I might be single forever" Joshua chuckled
"Well I have someone I like!" Jeonghan abrubtly said with his hands held to his heart like he was acting in a k-drama
Joshua leaned closer towards him eagerly waiting for him to spill the tea
"Its you! I love you shua~!"
"Man..I thought you would actually tell me" Joshua scoffed as he leaned back into his chair rolling his eyes
"But I just did!" Jeonghan responded while shooting Joshua a finger heart
"Alright alright I'm gonna clean up now" Joshua brushed off his comment and collected the plates
Jeonghan would wink at hum with kissy lips whenever they made eye contact while Joshua was cleaning up and he gave that joking-annoyed look. He was laughing inside and some chuckles escaped time to time
'But why did that make my heart flutter a little?' Joshua asked himself as he finished washing the dishes, slightly blushing 'I-I'm not gay though!'
