chapter 10 ~ let's go go go

"Shua! Let's go ice skating together!"

After Jeonghan had told Joshua about his past, they have gotten closer and closer. Joshua was the only person Jeonghan talked about with the bullying so he felt a sense of comfort around him. Joshua also felt the same towards the other. Days went by with Jeonghan's usual shenanigans.

Jeonghan was a naturally touchy person, and Joshua didn't mind that. Joshua was alerted by it at first but it became normal with him. It didn't creep him out in anyway even while knowing Jeonghan was gay. Jeonghan needed a person to cling onto, with both his parents being away and most of his friends being busy or in different countries, and Joshia didn't hesitate to volunteer for that position.

They became close friends after a week, so it felt like 2 friends having a long sleep over rather than having a care taker.

Jeonghan would sometimes go out of the house to hang out with his friends while Joshua stays at home to do the house work, but today was different.

"You want to go ice skating with me? Why not with your friends?" Joshua asked

"Well you are my friend! Also everyone is busy..Come on I have a coupon for 2 people from a while back that's about to expire, let's go!" Jeonghan beamed in excitement, shaking Joshua's shoulders

Joshua wasn't one to deny an outing with Jeonghan so he agreed. He took a small sling bag to keep his necessities and his thick long coat. He waited for Jeonghan at the downstairs sofa while scrolling through his phone.

Jeonghan soon came downstairs with a simple turtle neck shirt, jeans and a cream white beret to top it off.

"You're only wearing that? Isn't it pretty cold?" Joshua asked, eyeing Jeonghan's outfit while secretly thinking it's super cute

"Uwah! I forgot! Wait a sec I'll be really really quick!" Jeonghan said as he bolted up the stairs

Joshua chuckled to himself, watching Jeonghan rush up the stairs. He later came back down in a coat that looked similar to Joshua's, with the same colour and almost the same design as him. 

"Hehe look! We're matching" Jeonghan teased while playfully nudging Joshua's shoulder

As always, Joshua's flushed a deep red and he looked away immediately, trying to hide his embarrassment. Jeonghan laughed out loudly as he linked both their arms together. Joshua shyly unlocked the door and they headed out to the train station. They talked while sitting on the bench before their train arrived

It was pretty crowded as it was ample time for a lunch break for office workers, though both the boys ate lunch later than the average person. They had planned to eat lunch together somewhere close to the ice skating rink after finishing because they didn't want someone to accidentally throw up while skating (ㅋㅋㅋ)

They squeezed themselves into the train while holding onto a lole in the middle of the train. They were having fun talking, until Jeonghan seemed to stiffened up. He looked uncomfortable and his eyes were glued to the ground. Joshua noticed it right away, so he whispered into the boys ear.

"What's wrong? You're acting a little strange.." Joshua spoke in a small voice, hovering his head above Jeonghan's shoulder next to his ear to make sure Jeonghan heard him clearly

"A-ah it's nothing haha" He whispered back

Joshua, still hovering above Jeonghan's shoulder could see what was happening behind Jeonghan's back. A middle aged man, around 40 years old, was nudging his sling bag on Jeonghan's butt. Joshua's eyes glowed red, but he didn't want to cause a giant scene.

"Hey I think there's a free seat over there let's go" Joshua said out loud, grabbing Jeonghan by the waist and guiding him towards the other end of the train. They shuffled between people and settled at the corner of the train.

"Thank you Shua" Jeonghan said, his voice quivering a little bit, though he still showed a smile. Seeing Jeonghan nervous like that, hurt his heart a lot more than he would admit

Though that wasn't the end of that perverted man. He secretly followed behind them when they were trying to avoid him.

While Jeonghan and Joshua were in the corner of the bus, Jeonghan had his back against the wall and Joshua was infront of him, to block him from other creeps(SLAAAY).

The man saw Jeonghan's face and stopped in his tracks. He thought Jeonghan was a girl with short hair. Seeing Joshua being so close with Jeonghan made the man feel disgusted. He came closer to them, speaking in a loathing voice mixed with arrogance which only those 2 could hear.

"Get out if this country gays. People like you make me sick. The younger generation is so stupid. A man dating a man? It would never happen in real life. Get an actual life." He scoffed as he walked away, about to leave the train.

That was the last straw for Joshua. He was about to throw a punch straight across the man's face. All he saw was red and he turned towards the man, heading straight at him. But before he could move further, Jeonghan grabbed him by the wrist

"Joshua! Stop! Just leave him"

"You're just going to leave him like that? AFTER HE SAID ALL THOSE THINGS?"

"It will only get worse if we confront him with violence. I'm fine, I don't really care anyways"

"BUT-"

"Come on we came here to have fun right? Don't let someone ruin our day out!" Jeonghan said reassuringly, while tucking Joshua's hair behind his ear.

Joshua caressed Jeonghan's hand, that was now on Joshua's cheek. He leaned on it, slowly closing both his eyes.

"Mmm ok" he replied as he opened his eyes, staring deep into Jeonghan's.

That was a direct attack to Jeonghan, just like an arrow straight through his heart. His cheeks burned bright and he was left flustered

He unconsciously took of his hand from Joshua's cheek after being so flushed, but Joshua held on tightly and held his hand for the rest of the train trip
