Bracebridge Dinner Pt 1

Me, mum and Rory are making a snowman and lets say its a bit of a disaster but funny to watch, I get bored quickly so I tell good luck and head to the lake, once I'm there I take out my camera and start taking pictures. I need these pictures to be perfect so I can go to college and finally venture out on my own. As I taking pictures of my surroundings my lens focuses on no one other than Jess on the other side. I put my camera back in the bag and sit down and pull out a smoke. Jess eventually comes to sit next to me. I silent for a few minutes.

"Can I see?"

"I don't know can you, didn't realise you were blind!"

He rolls his eyes at me. We stare at each for a few moments, I start sweating, my heart is raising, my stomach doing this weird thing.

"Fine!" I grumbles as I get out my camera and hand it to him he has a shit eating grin on his face. I roll my eyes. He silent for what feels like forever while I'm just staring at his face to get some reaction

"WOW! These are incredible. I scoff. I'm serious you have amazing talent, is this what you want to do at college."

"That's the plan." I stare at the water Infront of me and inhale the smoke from my cig and a click goes off next to me, I spin my head and he is smiling at the photo he just took, I snatch my camera back "POSE!" I say and he does I take a shoot we laugh and we both sit and read in silence until I pack my camera away throw my cig into the water.

"I should go" I get up and walk away. I feel his eyes burning into my back.

At the diner working, Mum and Rory and Sookie are working on what to do about people getting snowed in, I get to the table kiss Sookie on the cheek and pour their coffees. I finally hear my mum say 'Everyone we know, Everyone we like' I exhale

"We thank god because I don't like anyone."

HAHA she says back and I smirk at her. I eventually give her the idea that everyone she likes can say In the empty rooms at the inn. They love the idea and both mum and Sookie start kissing my cheek. I wiggle out of their grip fake gagging and go to serve other customers.

"Come on" Keira says to me I ignore her getting to the exit as quick as possible

"tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me. She begs

"FINE" I shout at her, I mumble something, she moves closer, I mumble again, she puts her hand behind her ear, I roll my eyes

"I like him okay?" She squeals grabs my arm I stop her "I think he likes Rory and you know how that will go if I'm right and she likes him back!"

"Rory has a boyfriend y/n and she loves Dean, it's you turn to be happy." I smile and walk out the school, I see Jess having a fight with someone until Dean pulls him off and then Jess tries to fight Dean, Jess looks at me I roll my eyes and walks away.

At home I'm looking through Christmas Cards while mum and Rory are sorting out the rooms for the inn. 'Luke is coming with Jess' I heard Rory say and I shot my head up (mum is looking at me but I don't see) mum says she will put Jess with miss patty.

"There will be no Jess left in the morning" I say while giggling mum pipes up telling me I stink and we all end up laughing.

"I need to tell you something" mum and Rory look at me and Rory sits next to mum while I'm pacing Infront of them. I breathe in and out for a few moments

"Okay, so don't be mad or angry but....I..uh.I....uh...I like Jess!" it was silent for a while. then they both pull me into a hug and start teasing me. I'm going to hate going tonight.
