Bid-on-a-basket

Me and Rory are finding basket to use for the fundraiser today. My basket normally gets won by Kirk but today feels different and I looking forward to it because I want someone else to bid on it.

Later in the Afternoon the bidding has commenced. Rory's basket is up for bid and she squeezes my hand excitedly because Dean is bidding and she loves spending time with him. The bidding starts of at $5, I have to suppress my laugh then when I hear '$10' called from the back, me, mom and Rory all spin round and I see that Jess is now bidding on Rory basket.

Everything in me feels like I might have just been hit by a bus, Rory gives me a apologetic look and mum gives me a side hug, Jess wins Rory basket. The three head off to argue.

"y/n, do you want to talk about it"

"nope, I got to get to work"

"what about your basket?"

"Kirk is going to win it anyway, let him enjoy and take someone else don't know why I ever bother doing this anyway!" I storm of the Luke's.

When I get to Luke's he looks abit surprise to see me grab my apron and put it on I explain everything and he even offers to buy my basket, I love him, I give him a small smile. Mum comes busting through the door and drags Luke out to bid on her basket, I just watch chuckling in amusement.

I'm cleaning the tables as the bell rings signalling that someone has walked in the door. I slowly turn around and my smile grows. There in the door way awkwardly holding up my basket is Dean with a sheepish smile on his face. I gesture to him to sit down.

"I'm sorry about Rory"

"Its fine I just hate that Jess"

"Rory doesn't like Jess just so your aware, we tell each other everything and she would tell me, all she does is talk about you and she really wanted you to win her basket today."

"Thanks y/n" I nod at him

Me and Dean spend the rest of it talking about random stuff, laughing and joking around. What we don't see across the street is Jess watching us with a jealous look on his face, maybe?
